I do my best to keep up with them for the first few days after a video comes out, but due to the volume of comments on all of my videos, and to the general hustle and bustle of life, I must give up the fight after a while. If you are leaving a question four or more days after a video comes out I can't guarantee I'll see it, but perhaps one of my other viewers knows the answer and can help out. @@rickybobby6760 to be fair, bagger boys have set themselves up for this by, as you said, "looking down their noses" for literally decades. But fair comment nonetheless. Why can't we all just respect each other for being on 2 wheels.

@@LARGO125 because every video on KZfaq even Harleys own videos is nothing less than a chance to let Harley riders know that they are idiots and the bike they ride are complete junk. I love my Harley so I don't wave at people hate me and my bike. What's wrong with that? Ride safe.
@cy-one

@@garygosselin4918 The wrong part is you're trying to fight fire by pouring gasoline into it. Imho, the larger issue HD has is the perception if it's riders, not necessarily the "last century's tech for next's prices"-thing. You're upset people generalize you and your bike, but you're doing the same thing towards people you don't know (random riders on the street). The only thing they see is "yet another" (because we always remember the "bad things" more than the good) HD rider who didn't wave.

The guzzi is great but it lacks the low end power you want when carrying a passenger. I know cause i own the mgx. the indian challengers are powerhouses in stock form. The baggers are mostly for people who ride with others alot. I notice alot more people that daily bikes have middleweight bikes with all the touring gear. @@robertdrawdy3749 up here in the nordic countries (Sweden in my case) we tend to have lighter machines. The season is short and weather conditions can be unpredictable so a lighter machine is easier to handle. Trips are also shorter, it is possible to go from one end of the country to the other in just one day although that is theoretical. Too many speed traps for that to happen :) and it is 1572km. But two 750km days sorts that out. The people here who ride baggers are mostly Goldwing riders, some HD:s also but that covers it. My ride is a 750cc Kawasaki, just started my 10:th season with this one. Got my license and first bike in 1974 so been doing it for a while and had a lot of bikes through that time. Motorcycle? Not like anything I ever rode earlier! Fell over stopped when gravel or oil underfoot, didn’t pin or crush me! Got it up with help and road off a little shaken but ok! Smile grew on face the more days I travelled with it! Became one with it! Heated grips, better seat, removed rear foot pegs, K&N air cleaner, frame stabilization brace and heated pants and jacket! Aria full face Hemet, leather jacket and pants and I am alive and well at 70 years old! I just have to look at this piece of art sitting still in my garage and I am in love! Get on it and ride a little, and “Harley Mental Health Session” complete”! You can live out of this thing on the road! Never let me down, never hurt me! Two headlights, not one, people oncoming, saw me, mostly! If a part was needed, Harley dealerships at the ready! If not open, other motorcycle shops had parts in the middle of God Knows Where I Was or where they were, sometimes homes in country side out side Duncan, Vancouver Island, B.C., Canada or Revelstoke, Canada. Sign “Flashing”-Do not stop, Wolves on Highway”, Highway 93 below Banff National Park, Canada! What! I am from San Francisco Bay Area, California for God’s Sake! Waved at all motorcyclists, even Harley Riders! Yes, a brotherhood/sisterhood of adventurers on two wheels! Most of them, kind, helpful, human beings, just wanting to get out of the house! I can't help but wonder how this comparison would look if Triumph offered a bagger version of the Rocket III? Or if Honda had a Valkyrie bagger type offering based on the 6 gen GL? Even though it's under sized, good call including the Moto Guzzi. Variety is the spice of life and I only wish I had more spice bag(gers)!

Only one problem with all that jizz your spitin.... 95% of all bikes on the road are baggers and every year there seems like more... you go to any motorcycle club, bar, benefit, or manly thing that ever existed there all baggerz and 90% of the 95% are streetglides, the other 5% are "scooters" trying or pretending to be a bagger with aftermarket hard bags and after fairings and bolt on radios
2 жыл бұрын
@@back-woods I know this might be a shock to you, but baggers are very much an American thing. That's why Harley is destined to become a niche brand that only sells a handful of motorcycles a year. Because it caters to a 300 million market on a 7 billion planet. You'd think that after what happened last week in Afghanistan Americans would get the message that their influence as a country, both politically and culturally, is basically done, but I guess some of you still live in La La Land.

I never knew I was so far "ahead of the curve", a trendsetter if you will. Way back, before the marketing men invented the bobber or the bagger, I had a bike with a fairing and bags. Well, a fairing and one HUUUGE bag on one side only. This bag was so big that it had its own wheel, roof, windscreen and everything. Ladies and gentlemen I give you the JAWA 350 Combination. So far the only machine that has had me fearing for both my life and my sanity. Sometimes both at the same time....

Is it weird that the Electra Glide is the only bagger that I like? I just hate the idea of all the extra electronic stuff that you know is just waiting to go bad. How long a touch screen will last that's out in the elements is an unknown I'd rather not be the tester that gets to find out.

Nope, not weird at all. That's why I like my Road King, keeps it simple. If I ever feel the need for a touch screen or gps on my bike, I'll put a phone mount on my handlebars.

A very funny, truth filled video about baggers and their riders. I really enjoy your sense of humor and honest commentary in all of your videos. Thanks and please keep it going! I have only ridden two HD baggers that I rented. They were great, but just not my kind of bike. I enjoyed both of my past "scooters" more. One was a Yamaha V Star 950 and my favorite was a Suzuki Boulevard 50-T (805cc). Lots of style on that bike with the two tone purple and black paint, white wall tires and chrome. All while being very reliable and affordable. It was the most comfortable riding scooter that I've ridden, especially while being over 6 feet tall. 🛵

Actually, I wasn't intending to put down scooters at all. I like them too along with motorized bicycles. I was simply going along with Different Spokes TVs "humor theme" within the video of calling non bagger motorcycles, (Harleys in this case) scooters. Sorry for the miscommunication there. I agree with you about Harley Davidsons being an expensive bike which is the main reason why I don't currently own one. Maybe someday I can afford a used one.

Hate to quibble, but a Harley Electra Glide does not need to do "an 18 point turn on a 2 lane road". It will do it in under 18 feet. Harleys baggers are the most maneuverable of the heavyweight baggers and that's why they are so popular with law enforcement motorcycle units.

This was an excellent video (except for Bill Clinton riding his interns). That was not up to your usually classy level. For me, it would be between the Road King and the Gold Wing, with the Gold Wing nudging out the Harley. As I get older though, I think trying to wrestle around an 800 or 900-pound bike just doesn't sound like fun. Those CVO's are incredible, but who has 50 to 60 grand for a fully loaded one?

I always figured that riders of American baggers don't wave because they are too afraid to take their hands off the bars. Now I do believe my R1250RT as a bagger if you are going to stretch the rules to bring in the Gold Wing or K1600B. It will out perform any Harley and even a Challenger and do so with only 1250cc of motor. Having owned a Street Glide, I do find it odd that wind protection is so bad on these bikes but that comes with not having integrated lowers. The Challenger certainly has the power advantage over the Road Glide but the latter looks like a much better finished product.

Yep, the RT would be the bagger of choice for me. I didn’t include it as the seating position is not that cruiserish and your feet are not far enough in front of you.

I have owned many bikes and have had good and bad experiences from sport touring Concourse, crotch rocket GPZ,Gixers Touring Yamaha Ventures, Street Glide, Chieftain, F6B and many more. Currently on a BMW Bagger. If you compare all the Giant bagger I would rank BMW first Challenger second and Road Glide third. But everything is subjective so I could be wrong
