Chameleon DOES stack, the visual effect remains the same but more pieces makes you harder to detect. A full suit makes it feel like Skyrim's stealth where nobody can find you even if they're standing on your toes.

There is an effect that reduces damage by 15% when standing still. 6 pieces gives you 90% damage resist.

There's this one legendary effect I have on one of my own armor pieces that slows time temporarily when below 20% health. This is great when fighting because when you get really hurt time slows giving you more time to stimpak yourself

I love sharp because those Intelligence points add up, especially if you've done them early on. A base Intelligence of 1 gives standard 100% exp then for every +1 Intelligence you get +3% more exp. THen there's experience boosts from things like Well-Rested, Lover's Embrace, Gift of Gab, or Lessons in Blood. For instance, grabbing 10 Intelligence in the beginning, drinking a beer and using You're special to get 11, buying the helmet from Covenant the sharp effect early on for another 1, learning Night Person rank 2 as soon as possible for another 3 at night, grabbing +5% exp magazine at Goodneighbor early on, grabbing the +25% exp for both male and female speech checks magazines, sleeping before a mission to get well-rested, getting piper as a love interest at the beginning because you want Gift of Gab exp bonus as soon as possible anyway, and having her hang at your Home Plate or favorite settlement to grab Lover's embrace, then trying to get all your action in before the sun comes up, means you're getting 157% exp before getting Piper up, 162% after plus 187% for every new location discovered and 202% on speech checks. One bad thing is you can screw your Minutemen questline up in some places if your go far enough in Nuka-World before finishing it, so watch out if you want to try and grab Porter Gage's +10% exp perk as soon as you hit lvl 30 and Nuka-World opens up.

sentinel 6 pieces = 90+% damage reduction when not moving. to put into perspective, if u have 300 hp, when not moving, you have the equivalent of 3,000+ hp. mire lurk queens only have around 1000 hp. op? much.

When it comes to the chameleons set, the same affect can be applied to power armor with the stealth boy upgrade

Thank you for posting. It seems that for a few of the effects that stack, it's almost game breaking. Sure, Exterminator gear is pretty terrible, but if you could somehow find a full set of six pieces (not sure that's even possible without cheating), you'd be able to avoid 90% of damage from, say, a Mirelurk Queen. Bring along your Exterminator gun, and you're a Mirelurk Hunter (one that hunts mirelurks, not an actual Mirelurk Hunter).

The effects of Chameleon actually do stack. The bonuses to stealth can get absolutely broken as long as you stay still. People that the effects don't stack due to the stealth field, and think you already have the stealth field so it can't get better, but you can stack up to 6 pieces (with a helmet)

If you really need more AP regeneration, the quantum set, gives you ap generation with all pieces

Having Rank 3 of Strong Back and equipping 2 Sprinters and 3 Powered armour pieces allows you to essentially take everything in the game at the sacrifice of sprinting, the sprinters effect makes you walk while overencumbered to the speed of a slightly weaker run.

I like the Duelist effect. It is very useful, especially against enemies with really strong weapons. First they resort to melee weapons then they resort to their fists. Some don't even have melee weapons to back up their ranged weapons so I have the ranged advantage or the armed advantage if I go melee.

What about the Acrobat’s effect? I’m no expert in this, but there’s the Freefall Leg pieces in the Mass Fusion skyscraper, which (when worn) actually remove any and all falling damage, turning you into Master Chief at the same time. Sure, no other upsides and it’s practical only in a few situations, but I think it should be on the list

No VATS gear? W/ 6 pieces of VATS gear, I get 9 shots with the gauss rifle (no scope). As a stealthy sniper, I tried all cunning, all action point refresh, and all VATS. With the Grim Reaper's Sprint refilling action points on kill, I cannot run out of AP with all VATS gear. All legit, too. I played long enough to actually find all those pieces. =)

Acrobat x2 has been very useful for me

Sprinters is great for Survival where you can't just fast travel everywhere.

I've never really been able to choose whether I like the quick refresh speed or the action point cheaper in vats.

you were close, but Lucky effect is best for V.A.T.S. based gameplay. Coupled with Grim Reaper's Sprint, Ricochet and Critical Banker a moderate agility & perception build that starts the game with a 10 Luck and a set of Lucky gear doesn't have a real need to put Perk Points into combat skills like gunslinger etc. It's more OP than you think. (I think your just power armor biased) :D

When it comes to survival mode players, Fortifying is definitely the way to go since carry weight in severely reduced. If you're a heavy VATS user, the Cunning legendary effect is really good to have better accuracy while using VATS, and to fire more shots in VATS. The Sharp legendary effect is only really useful if you're playing Charismatic build or just for leveling faster. The Lucky legendary is another legendary effect that is only really useful for heavy VATS users as it helps increase the critical meter a lot faster.

My fave is the martyr effect, it has saved my life more times then I account.

Bolstering is pretty great. Still use the leather right leg with this legendary effect, although I just found a heavy leather right leg, which will probably end up being better now that I can upgrade it.

The Sentinel effect is much better than the Almost Unbreakable effect. If you have 9 sets of Sentinel Power Armor sets, you will have 90% damage reduction. Adding to Power armor high armor rating, that is almost invincible. However watch on those Bloodbugs and Rad-Scorpions which have poison damage.

You should do "Stacking Legendary Armor Effects" 1. Chameleon set up to 5 pieces. nuff said. 2. Sentinel set, up to 7 pieces including weapon. This is special because Bethesda apparently planned for it. If you confront a raider, he/she will comment "sh**, she's buleltproof!" and run. Deathclaws ignore the user. (warning: does not stop damage from falling, you will be glitchy GOO with (/E) "Activate". 3. Powered set at least 2 plus action girl/boy perk. VATS user taking down excessive numbers of enemies? Melee? Ranged? No VATS? no problem. Don't want to wait your AP meters full for 16 seconds? no problem. I did full in 4 seconds. 4. VATS discount legendaries. I experimented with only 3 using simple overseer guardian. I felt bad for any number of enemies in frontal combat. I get to shoot them 10-12x or go with all 6 vats enchanced and shoot the same object 17 times plus more. 5. Freefall vs Acrobat.Round One! User forget to put on one of the legs. Acrobat wins.......Next round!

Honestly, the only useful armor effect I've found is Sprinter, with 6 pieces equipped you're literally running like Sonic the hedgehog. Sometimes you're running so fast that the background cells up ahead can't even render fast enough to keep up and it causes the game to slow down momentarily as it loads Chameleon does stack and it's real useful for stealth builds, except it has the bad habit of rendering the crosshairs in most scopes invisible as well, so unless you use melee or prefers to hip fire at close range you'll need some kind of mod to remedy that problem The cheapest combination would have to be 6 sentinel pieces + Cavalier on a weapon. Not only are you completely immune to damage, but the enemies will end up running away from you because the game is scripted for them to do so. In short, the entire wasteland is your domain, and anyone with a lick of common sense would give you a wide berth and keep away, be they people, creatures, mutants or robots

Being a pack mule, fortify pieces are ones I crave. Especially with deep pockets if able to Every tiny bit I get is worth it

My god, imagine a weapon with that effect that on crit it refreshes your AP, combined with you having 22 luck, you would never have to leave VATS.

The chameleon armor does stack. The visual stays the same but the chance enemies will notice you goes down.

Sentinel > Almost everything on this list. Seriously, fucking LUCKY but not sentinel?! Sentinel has got to be the best non-power armor legendary effect, especially because it works for EVERY BUILD! Stealth build? You'll be standing still when you knife a guy in the kidneys. Melee? You'll be stand still in VATS. Luck based critical build? Standing still in VATS again. Assault/regular rifle build? Standing still behind cover. Sniper? I think you get the idea. Sentinel is the fucking best, and this was a pretty shit list if you ask me.

My full load out is a full set of heavy combat armor with the effect to make you go faster, and i go sanic speed, with a 2 shot maxed out assault rifle, the big boy, a big ass explosive .50 sniper, and kremvh's tooth

I have two powered effect and three vats effect armor pieces,with high luck and i have multiple extra shots multiple extra critical shots in vats,best vats build.

I don't think you should bundle power armor and normal armor together in these types of lists, the fact that one has exclusive legendary effects is enough of a reason to me that these two should be separate lists. Especially since a some of us really don't like power armor

I know i'm late but if you have a full set of sentinels armor, you have 75 percent damage reduction while standing still and if you pair it up with the Rooted perk, your practically a human bunker.

Many errors here, for example strength and endurance help your carry weight and HP. The visual effect of chameleon doesn't do anything, but the stealth bonus does stack, so multiples pieces are very strong.

I think the Punishing effect should’ve made this list to round it up to 10 effects. Reflecting melee damage is never a bad thing against deathclaws and mirelurks as long as you have enough health to survive. I’d love to be lucky enough to get an entire set of this to use.

the bad thing is I always get unlucky, with stupid stuff like Ghoul Slayer's Gamma Gun or the Poisoner's armor.

I found a mod that alters Power Armor effects so that the armor takes all the damage untill it's destroyed, so you're unharmed until it's blown off and you are exposed. Combine that with a full suit of nearly unbreakable...makes me giddy haha

If you wait until you get your luck up to 10 before grabbing the luck bobblehead and then add all the pieces of Lucky armor you will have a lack of 23.
