I hope this list of my top beginner plants helped you to choose your first plant baby. Starting in plants is such a fun journey, there will be trial and error involved so if you aren’t seeing success immediately that is OK. Just hang in there and eventually, it will all click.

I agree with most esp pothos and sanseveria. Syngoniums are hard for me though. Mine was struggling this spring was almost dead and then was great this summer. Now i’m back to struggle 🙁 i really cannot pinpoint what is different from the summer except light but its in my brightest spot...

It can be a number of things. I suggest troubleshooting it can be when your watering, temperature, fertilizing, pests etc. I noticed they like really benefit from being fertilized during their growing season. I personally like to use Fish emulsion.

Great list! I’d add dracaenas! Can tolerate low to medium light, water when bone dry. I’ve heard they like humidity but mine do fine on their own with no humidifier, and I’m in Arizona. The only thing with them is they do like distilled water supposedly otherwise they will get brown tips. I’ve always use distilled water with them so I haven’t had an issue

Thanks for sharing! Also I use distilled water for many of my plants but I have not been using it on my Dracaena and it seems to be doing fine. Hopefully it doesn't start to turn on me lol.
