@@mrki731 Yep, I plan on making a large collectable NFT series, but I will only do it on Cardano....I dont people to have to pay 100 bucks fees for a 20 buck NFT. I have sold 2 20 buck NFT art peices and I know those buyers had to have paid 70-100 bucks in gas fees each.

@@fortheloveofnoise I had problems until I switched from Fortmatic to Coinbase wallet, Fortmatic has known issues apparently. Still cost me a total of $80 to get 1 NFT. No idea how likely the NFT will even show up on people's explore.

is this only with Rarible? or is say superare and opensea better for gas fees?

@@blankeybeats8785 gas fees are the same on every platform that uses eth to mint. the problem with rarible is that they get you to connect your wallet when you upload an image and charge fees. So if your just experimenting with the uploading process and want to see how much minting fees are you get charged like 15 dollars just for looking (price when i tried). This is completely unnecessary and doesn't happen on opensea (haven't tried other platforms). I'm also waiting for Cardano to be used for minting NFTs on these platforms, until then it's only really worthwhile to mint your art if your confident it will sell for more than $150 which is how much gas fees generally are atm. Hopefully the upcoming updates to ADA will allow for NFT minting and the big exchanges will take it on board.

@@fedorfilon8984 There is no rules against it, it's just bad form to offer the same artwork in 2 places without reason. To clarify for you, that project was a collab with a music artist. One version is a full song release with cover art, the other version is full animation with audio made by the same music artist. I call that 2 different works, but I understand if you see two similar thumbnails and think it's the same.

Pretty much. You exchange tokens (usually ETH for your NFT) but ETH can pretty easily be swapped for any fiat currency nowadays.

The platform you sell on takes a cut before paying out. Usually between 10-20%

That's a lot of questions. Finding a collector base can be as difficult in the digital world as it is in the traditional. But it's at least possible now. You get to decide the approach you want to take as an artist.

Good question! There are many on and off ramps between crypto and fiat nowadays. So yes you can cash out (but I prefer not to as Crypto is the future)

Yes sometimes gas fees can get very high at times of network congestion. If you don't need to hurry you can wait for a more quiet time to mint when fees are lower.

@@joshuascottmayo9774 No mint it on one platform! Once it's minted u can't reverse it because it will be tokenised on the blockchain. This is why u should really decide which market u are going to use for which pieces.

@@paolala2406 yeah the tech is really good and it’s build on the phantasma blockchain, I’ve have really good experiences so far. The team / support also usually responds almost instantly which I dig.. Never had any reservations in the security department, but as always I’m staying vigilant.

@@paolala2406 and yeah the gas fees are ridiculously low, I think you end up paying around 20 cents per mint at this point, it’s kinda crazy most artists don’t really know what it is, cause 90% of my timeline is people saying gas fees are too high haha.
