NICE!! I ordered this yesterday, and I was wondering about the sound output, so i can search youtube if necessary whilst diagnosing my personal cars with this thing :) I feel I'll be learning the machine much like you did, LOL. I can't wait to try out the realtime graphs, and the bi-directional testing!

What happens if you use this scanner on a vehicle that uses CAN-FD? How does it perform or does it fall flat on it's face?

Real question about a Top Don scanner. I bought one from Amazon a month ago and tried to use it for abs pump bleeding, but it wouldn't work due to a SRS light, and it wouldn't give very good details on troubleshooting. So because of those issues and it not working unless I used wifi I returned it. Does that one work off wifi or do you know a brand that doesn't have to use wifi and will actually do the other things I'm wanting?

U can’t forget Vci one u exit a function it sends u a warning and rings and says don’t forget vci

I agree And disagree I learned how to diesel tech on duramax diesels 4 hrs for cab off? No bro I’ve taken them off in 45 mins 1 hr rushing. Normal speed cabs off in 1.5 hr taking a turbo loose with cab on in 49 mins. But I worked on them everyday for 7 years. I’m a mobile mechanic now so I avoid doing cab off done it twice in the field and it takes a lot of work to get the cab high enough off the frame to get any kind of access anyone asking how I use my trucks crane I remove the cab and set it on jack stands.

yes I have one a phoenix plus I like it because you have GREAT customer support and all scanners are NOT going to do ALL things I have a old Autell that is great on cars before 2010 because of the data I get from the unit . So far so good

6.7 powerstroke is a breeze to work on, im not even ase certified and i do everything on my truck - literally everything

Does this unit work for programming Subaru WRX STI 2013 ECM's mine is going bad. I have a replacement ECM but it is worthless unless I can clone my basic ECM info like VIN, Immobilizer and keys. Most of the units I have looked at only seem to be fully functional with German cars and some Fords, but very little information about Subaru's. There are companies that will clone the ECMs for me or go to the jerks at Subaru who will charge me 2000$ for 150$ worth of work. I have a Cobb tuner which lets me program in performance settings only.

What did you end up doing? Scanners have really weird issues with Subarus. Even my snap on loaner didn’t like talking to some Subarus I had in my shop.

Ended up returning it for a refund. It could get the VIN number but couldn't even read error codes. I had to use my Cobb tuner to read and reset the error codes. Beautiful looking but useless to me.@@garboi8976

I love my topdon phoenix plus i can program abs module on my ford f150 lariat 5.4 2005...and i love the power balance function to sad that only work on ford...I love this scanner very fast and i love the topology map 🔥👍🪄
