5:54 I'm a twin outboard cat guy...Preferably twin screaming 2.5 280 Offshores or 2.5 300 Drags....or 3.2 300Xs aren't bad as a last resort. You can hear them growling.

@@BoatZone I think a few companies have splash molds of that though. Just like Liberators were of Eliminator hulls. Bottoms still are same molds..they changed the tops on the 21 and up a bit in last few years though.

Not possible to have too much horsepower. The reason my current CC has six Merc 600's is because seven wouldn't fit! When Merc get them turbo charged and up to 700 or 800 HP I will buy new ones.

I share the water. And I have come to hate unmuffled Gofast boats. Hate may be a very mild term. 6 and 8 miles away,, cannot even see the buggers and all you can hear is the roar. If they pass close to you, you get the loudest sound,,, much louder than they have to put up with,,,, the exhausts are pointed to you,, and if it is a surface prop wailing away,, the prop noise behind the boat is off the scale. Hate. I am a Detroit, born and raised,,, and so I DO actually like a good machine sound. A Harley grumbling by,, music. But they do have a muffler so if they wish to gun it a little,, you still cannot hear them from more than a few blocks. Not so with the Gofast boats. Miles and miles away,, and that is ALL you can hear.

@@ctobias1984 No. If it is too loud, it is unnecessary. I am on the water too, why do I have to listen to that 'crap' all day, everyday. Maybe we make Thursday, Friday, and Saturday,, as loud as you want,, blow it out. And Sunday through Wednesday with mufflers. Ya know,,,, no back pressure means 'eat the valves'. Why would you want to chew the valves to ribbons for an 'extra 12 horsepower. Put a muffler on it like a Harley. You lose practically nothing and the sound is no problem a half mile away. Surface counter rotating props? I have zero solution for. They just suck..
