In this video, we share five of our favorite hikes in and around Palm Springs. From the shortest to a longer, more challenging hike, we think you'll agree that Palm Springs has more to offer than just shopping and bars (not that they're not amazing! 🤩 )

All of these hikes are family-friendly with only the final hike being longer and a little more challenging. Always remember that Palm Springs is in the desert and it's hot hot hot in late spring and summer.

Went on my Girls' Weekend to Palm Springs 2 weeks ago. We didn't know we could have so much fun in Palm Springs!!! We did some hiking - went to Coachella Valley Preserves, Indian Canyon, Andreas Canyon, Palm Canyon. Took the Tram up the mountain and hiked the Desert View Loop, had dinner and then took the tram back down after dark. The tram turned into the "Party Tram" when the driver put on his music. We finished our weekend by going to Whitewater and hiking on the PCT. Had an upclose encounter with an almost naked guy by the river. We also stopped at Cabot's Pueblo Museum. Fascinating place!!! Thanks for all your suggestions of where to hike!!!

Don't pay to hike in Indian Canyons, it's a complete rip off and not worth it. Here are three hikes that are much better than the listed ones - Araby trail - climbs about 1000 feet and excellent views of PS, small parking area. Goes up behind Bob Hope's old house. Murray Peak - you can reach this from Araby trail, or get there several other ways. Even higher up than Araby with views of PS and the whole valley. Depending upon your desire, there are a whole series of trails up in the Murray peak area. Coachella valley preserve - really out in the Palm Desert area, but beautiful oasis area with ponds and palm trees and a small old visitors center. This one is flat and easy to do. Any of the hikes up at the top of the tram are nice, including the 12 mile RT up to San Jancinto peak. There are many nicer and cheaper hikes that those listed in the video.
