I'd love to see that big old bird attempting then canyon run. It would surely be a toss up between whether: 1. It gets shot down because it's mahoosive (OR 2. The wings get ripped off due to someone attempting a 143G turn 🤣🤣

The way to win is to launch a HARM from the top of the mountain so that last SAM is hit by the time you've bombed the target.

It was mentioned at the end that a successful outcome would be two pilots surviving ejection after bombing the target, so Maverick and Rooster can go steal the F-14.

After today mission I have learned 3 things: 1.-Cap willing to use anyone from the squadron as shield 2.NEVER let Cap drive after having drinks with the GR squadron 3.Missing the key component of the mission, "Grump chewing chips"

@grimreapers - Awesome stuff Grim Reapers Team! Too bad I did not see Grump on this one. The ONLY thing it was missing was a "GRUMP CAM" moment of him conducting extreme maneuvering and at the same time attempting to eat chips. 😆 @Cap - you can't say, "Don't worry about surviving this!" - Maverick said everyone has to survive and return home. 😀

When a pair of fighters' jets climb and then go inverted over the mountains, let the first fighter jet target the underground bunker, and then let other the second fighter jet target and send multiple missiles toward the opponent's missile battery at the top of the mountain in front of them. The multiple missiles fired might be enough to confuse the missile batteries radar allowing both fighter jets to escape safely.

Awesome flight. I'm guessing you added the AA guns for additional challenge because they weren't present in Top Gun 2. The only issue they had to worry about was time and staying as low as possible. The canyons were also much more aggressively shaped and actual canyons with tall walls on both sides but I'm guessing you have to do what you can. Awesome flying - far better than I could.

I’m a retired helicopter pilot. Those are the altitudes i lived at although at slower speeds. For me it was important to always have a slight turn or slight climb or decent when dealing with unguided direct munitions. For the other stuff…. Low, low, low

Also for the tor, i am a warthunder player but radar missiles should all act the same, they need lead, if u get low and the dip at the last second 1 miles at the least should get the missile to dive for the ground while u pull right or left out of the dive, very hard still maneuver needs to start at 500 feet about the ground and u need to pull up at about 50 to 100 ft, i know warthunder and dcs are different physics but the methodologies are similar enough for it too work

Jousting that last SAM at the end might be possible to survive if you can intercept his missile with your own sidewinder. Of course, that means carrying more weight on an already impossible mission, or one less bomb. Even then, you'd still need the devils luck, but it might be the only way to do it aside from using an allied plane as a meat shield.

Hey guys, just a little thing for the future of GR. Mayman Aerospace flying motorcycle becomes a military VTOL jet drone. If you enter that in a search and look for New Atlas for the article, you'll see what I am on about. I think that CH may already be onto this one. You kept forgetting that there was a tomcat parked nearby. You could simply bomb the target, eject before being turned into free range meat shield and escape in the F-14. Just be on the lookout for SU-57's.
