When Rooster looked at his dad's photos, he really looks like Goose. They did a great casting in Miles Teller.

They couldn't have PRAYED their way into a better casting job on Rooster. If the real life DNA test showed that the Rooster actor was the actual son of the Goose actor, I would believe it, no question.

I always thought that Miles Teller was gonna be a one hit wonder with Whiplash. But no he acted the shit out of this role in Top Gun. What a comeback!!

this is so beautiful. he is a fantastic character, with lots of layers, and this does a wonderful job of showing that. you really captured all of the emotions that this film holds. the quick shot of young bradley in the middle of the dogfight shows what i just know mav was thinking of at the time. heartbreaking and lovely. a genius idea to edit it that way. i will definitely be rewatching this one.

True, but you won't want him as a commanding officer. Fighter pilot officers doesn't command soldiers. So they can still be kids. But, if it is infantry...a navy Lieutenant's army equal is a Captain that is up to a hundred soldier under your command. You can't be an egoistic kid, you need to be an adult otherwise, if Rooster is in the army infantry instead of navy pilot...it is like Captain Sobek in Band of Brothers. And in addition, they just call you an asshole, because they expect you to be an adult. When you are a commander you are expected to be an adult, if you can't do it you are an egoistic jerk. When you don't command people, they let it slide and be more of a kid, you got problem they say "well, he is still a kid with some rough edges."

You know I have seen this movie 11 times so far and I am sobbing every single time I see it and the scene that's not shown here it's when Maverick and Rooster are hugging that's one of the scenes where I am sobbing uncontrollably. 😭 I seriously cannot get over The uncanny resemblance that Goose and Rooster have. I recently watched the original Top Gun and man they look so much alike. LMAO 🤣
