Yes regular copy paper. Oh and I found out that the ‘k’ in CMYK is for black. That explains why it works. 😍

Love them! Why do you use Matt/gell medium on the gel plate even when you’re using colors?

Thank you! I use Matt medium for everything. It’s great for collage as it dries clear. It’s works for thinning paint, making transparent layers, clear layers on the Gelli plate. It’s really versatile. 😍

Awesome indusrial vibe going on! Love it! By the way, have you tried laser printing directly onto the exam paper? I use the exam paper glue tacked (top and bottom) onto a standard sheet and it works very well.

Thank you! The medical exam paper is more durable than tissue paper. I think it’s also more transparent when wet. Finally, it’s really inexpensive. 😍

Quick question: what do you use to seal the distressed ink for use in a water soluble materials area?

@@swl9270 I use a thin layer of acrylic medium. Put down a layer on your Gelli plate and press it over that area. For this one I didn’t seal it as it was the last layer. 😍

@@MixedMediaArtByTrina alrighty thanks! I think I asked actually on the wrong video. I was thinking of the last super video of the large piece but the answer is the same. I’m busy working on some collage stuff and listening to you. I’ve discovered the use of vintage sewing pattern paper for collage. I’ve tinted some and some have just used as the parchment paper. Great stuff for knocking back some too “patterny” areas. I’ll send you some! Hope you are having a great play session today!

I watched a video where the person was showing how to get darker prints from laser prints. She did a side by side with one straight from the printer and the other she gave it a very light coat of glass finish spray. The brand she used as far as I could tell is not available in the US. But the one she sprayed with it is MUCH more well defined than the one that was not sprayed. I'm planning on trying it today....
