I am not competitive. I am not top tier. But I am a full send hyper aggressive player or a very shikamaru, I am not ever moving player. UNI 2 is definitely fastee than CLR. But in a good way. Because its not the 2 most recent patches of M.B.T.L. MBTL has gotten so insanely fast and tight in the execution as well the length of combo chain, that UNI 2 feels slow to me. Its crazy. In UNI 2 I have to fight for the Grid and be more patient in my execution. I will give up offense sometimes just to fight for Grid. I also love grid break throwing my oppoment. If that opportunity is on the table, I am going to win the cycle.

I dabbled in UNI a bit in clr and st. I thought the game was really cool back then, but the online was bad and there were no locals running it, so it got put on the back burner. Rollback is THE THING that makes this game worth it. UNI has always been interesting and unique, we just couldn't all play it. Now we can.

I initially got into Uni through BBTAG, simply because the characters looked super cool. Got into Uniclr on Switch, and didn't get very far into it (just about 20 hours). Now into Uni2's release it's one of my favorite fighting games (though I still got a lot of improvement to get through lol). Nice to hear from a more advanced perspective about the game, especially as a casual myself.

I remember playing uniel at the time when I first started playing uni was 2014 most of all the old plays back then left but nowadays is feels much harder to block Bigblack is right I can block better offline than online anyway great stream I hope to play you guys more cause playing on console is painful due to the lack of players and most of them are on PC btw have a good day

@@Lidomega I'm a 24'er Lid😔 All I've ever known is vottom1, gems are made of paper, wald looks at me funny and my hp disintegrates, I do the hardest bnb in the game for 26 damage, Hyde does more off a 5a than I do 2c, Yuzu 2FF is the Hydrogen Bomb to Vat's coughing baby kit Please... Kamone... Lebron... I have to whiff a button in training mode to start holding gems to practice 😭 Make 2a a low... Make B drill unreactable... Im in the trenches of B+ and I dont see any light... Save me....

A matchup chart for specific characters? or do you mean a tier list?

@Lidomega I've seen some games have like 10 pros that play different characters in different scenes each make their own matchup chart, then average the numbers together into one that is (probably) less subjective than one person doing it alone.

KZfaq is being fussy, so I can't post an easy example, but a match-up chart is a square graph with a diagonal line (mirror matches are always 50/50) and the value in the square is X character's odds of beating Y character.

@@Ukyoprime I think for uni it's really subjective and I'm not sure how well a tier list like that works. Look at the JP tier lists for example; they are wildly different. I don't know how useful of a resource it'd truly be, especially because of how balanced uni is. Something like this I would consider making content on, but it'd likely be moreso for fun rather than to get a definitive tier list. Not to mention, the game is likely to get some balance patches with the DLC characters.

I always view it as a piece of the tier list - it SUPER doesn't capture the whole picture, but it's at least one apples-to-apples way to compare the characters.
