Gas cook stoves went to shit the very day some asshole came out with electronic ignition.We had our old gas stove lasted 32 years it had pilot lights never a minutes trouble.Keep them clean of grease never a problem.And the new cook stoves the ovens last 3 to 4 years I allready replaced the igniter on the over.Lasting quality is gone just junk left.I will find me an old gas stove in good condition someday.

The number 1 reason a single burner will not light is a plugged gas igniter orifice. Clean that orifice first. Then check these other parts.

I have that same stove as shown here but it takes several seconds to light. It’s quite dangerous since the gas is flowing but doesn’t always light.

This video is a bit misleading. A lot of times a burner won’t light because of cleaning agent or grime might have gotten into pinholes where the gas comes through.

My gas stove only lights when my furnace is on why is that when my furnace shuts off the stove shuts off no gas goes to it

More than likely you have to much pressure to the back of the range and when the furnace cuts on it drops the pressure in the line to your range and allows the appliance regulator to work. You probably need to have a licensed professional install a medium pressure regulator on the back of your range. I have ran into this several times in my service territory.

That's the only way of it's not working with the igniter. See if there's a spark. If there is, something is clogged and it just needs to be cleaned with a toothpick or something similar!

Cleaning is often the cause... it doesn't take but a bit of water to temporarily keep a burner from lighting.

My range is bad ass and kind of old,but my point is this didn't address my type of stove which is dumb because its still common. Looks nothing like that generic pos in the video. Thx anyway,but not helpful at all.
