I have the same bike. I know it reads 137kmh MAXSPEED. But when you make a gps-test its 120kmh. Still one of the best 125cc out there. The speedometer is 10% wrong sadly. Just so you know. With mine its the same

Those were my findings as well, I have a video in the pipeline with this, thank you for watching. Edit: Btw if you manage to get the display to go to 138 it will hit the redline and cut the engine, found that it's pretty consistent with that, sadly I was not wearing my camera, freeway down the mountain in a straight line is boring as hell.

unfortunately most speedos are 10% out nowadays i think it was made to make people drive slower not sure but i think most digital speedo are 10% out not analog and GPS speeds arent calibrated

Só por curiosidade... vês o óleo do motor e da corrente na tua de que intervalos? Não conheço o Porto, mas se um dia passares pela A8 perto da zona da Malveira / Loures, as nossas motas parece que ficam malucas!! Normalmente à vento a favor quase sempre e parece mais uma 300cc que uma 125cc 🤣 Até ficas maluco!!! 🤩 Não aconselho é puxadas incrivelmente longas - já ouvi muitas histórias de terror de malta que abusou e também da Honda, que me explicou que as nossas motas têm um carter muito muito pequeno e levam uma quantidade de óleo mais pequena que o normal - quando lhes falei que fiz cerca de 30 km sempre a fundo com vários períodos a ir ao limitador - deram-me na cabeça e avisaram logo - e não há garantia que cubra um motor novo - eles conseguem ver pelo consumo de óleo e as marcas no cilindro se a pessoa fez asneira ou não - basicamente se a luz da temperatura ligar... já fostes!!! 😭😭😭 Trata a mota que nem uma princesa, porque a travar e a curvar... que delícia!!! 😍Ela merece 🥰

Eu evito auto estrada, mas sempre que levei a manutenção estava tudo ok, costumo fazer manutenção e verificar óleo e assim a cada 500km. Mas sempre que pego na moto faço uma validação visual se está tudo ok, já apanhei um susto com um furo lento e nunca mais peguei na mota sem olhar para tudo.

@@ridertechpt Loool eu tambem faço da minha em 500 em 500 kms - isso mesmo - tal e qual como a Honda recomenda, não sei como tem sido a tua experiência com o serviço da Honda aí em cima - mas cá em Lisboa... ultraTOP, desconfio que tenhas serviço espectacular aí tambêm . afinal Honda é Honda 👌 A minha foi comprada em Agosto do ano passado e já está com 12600 kms - nunca falhou um milímetro - aconselho vivamente a agarrares em malta amiga com mota e ires a Gois (sem ser na concentração que já me disseram que é uma grande confusão) - acredita, estradas maravilhosas para curtires a mota!! Boas curvas amigo!

the bike is full stock, and I managed to reach a little bit higher with a greater incline and favorable wind, the problem is that you reach the engine limiter at around 137-138 , so only if you do some modifications you can go higher.

Perfectly doable with the CB125R - it is how the video poster says - this bike is slow - no miracles, its a small engine (i know because i have one exactly the same - black mate), but with favourable conditions - you can go with her until 137 km/h - it will NOT go faster stock! (and the engine limiter sounds awfull - its really not healthy for the engine) And i would NOT recommend doing this for long periods of time - Honda told me that the oil deposit is small and the chances of ruining the engine are really really high!! They also told me that IF... IF the temperature turns on... you are gone!! Engine rebuild guaranteed!!! And... this is a warning... Honda WILL NOT take responsability if this happens and they have ways to find out an overworked engine - even if the bike is new, so be aware...

Sad to say, but the 1970's Honda CB125 T had a timing lights tested top speed of 85 MPH.

Euro5 and the limit to 15Hp is what limits this motorcycle, to bad we cannot have 20hp or 30hp with a 125, it would be awesome!

@@ridertechpt The old Honda CB125 T engine gave 18 HP @ 11,500 RPM. It would be interesting to fit the engine into a modern CB125, though the engine wouldn't be as powerful on the weaker, low energy modern fuel.. The 1980's Yamaha RD125 LC 2 stroke was restricted to 11.8 HP, yet had a top speed of 78 MPH. The EU killjoys banned all new 2 strokes in 2015.

@@CZ350tuner just buy an aprilla rs 125 full power I had nearly 110 out of mine with a wind behind me but would hit 90 plus with ease all day long

@@andrewwebber4623 Thats a very nice bike!! But to be honest - it depends on what you want from a bike - this CB125R has amazing fuel consumption and ride position is really confortable for daily driving or very big highway distances. But yeah, i love my CB125R but i have no illusions - the Aprilia 125 RS should be a faster bike, no doubt about it! I dont know about reliability - but my first bike was a FB Mondial HPS 125cc and it was a nightmare!!! Got gearbox problems (gears stucked), engine rebuild just after 5 months and 6000 kms of use with coolant leaks (on a BRAND NEW BIKE!!!) - FB fixed the bike after long 4 months and the FB then started to shut down when gearing from 3rd to 2nd... they found out it was the ECU... i really got feed up and sold the bike and got the CB125R and let me tell you... that puppy has now 12600 kms made in 7 months and NEVER missed a thing!! So italian bikes for long daily drives... i am not so sure... (not saying bad about Aprilia - but from now on... japanese only!! 🙏)

@@BallisticEVA01 eu tenho um vídeo com GPS usando o telemetry overlay, está como real gps top speed, infelizmente nesse dia não chegou ao limitador mas arredondado as unidades deve ser esse valor certinho.

Good bike but the cbr125 is the most fake odometer ever. Real top speed is 115/120kmh.

@@ridertechpti saw 112kmh before downhill, more logic for a 13hp bike. Too bad you are far from me, i would share my cb125twin 1977 to you. 17hp, 116kg and 127kmh gps speed on flat road. Amazing vintage bike without the euro shit restriction. kzfaq.info/get/bejne/a7l4gbmIybTTd2w.html

My cb is the updated 21 model, so it actually has the 15hp, the problem is the weight of the rider😅
