Have some delicious breakfast, coffee and brews at Texas Bean & Brew House and then burn off those kegs and eggs at The Children's Park. If you're in San Marcos in December, be sure to attend Sights & Sounds of Christmas!
Eventually you'll get hungry again so head over to The Root Cellar Café for decadent desserts and dinner. Our last stop was The Meadows Center for Water and the Environment where the glass-bottom boat tour allowed us to relax and visually soak in the beauty of Aquarena Springs!

Having spent my childhood outside Fort Worth but assimilating to the Pacific Northwest in the 2000s, I managed to never actually visit the Alamo - weird, I know - AND I've never heard of sweet potato hash but I'd love to try it!

This spot has been closed, the river. San Marcos needs to do better at construction work.

Yes, the very popular public access part of the river by the River Pub has been under construction for a while. The city is surely doing its best!
