This is the second time in the Nestle's history that they have done this. In June 2021, the Supreme Court ruled in favor of Nestle and Cargill in a child slavery case. (Clarence Thomas).Although the lawsuit was not successful, it raised awareness about the need for corporate accountability in supply chains and the fight against child slavery

The Baby Formula Scandal: One of the most significant controversies involving Nestlé is related to its baby formula. Since its inception in 1867, Nestlé has marketed its baby formula as better for infants than breast milk, a claim that has been proven false. During the 1970s, Nestlé aggressively targeted developing countries in Africa, Latin America, and Asia. Saleswomen dressed as nurses would visit mothers and convince them that the formula was superior to breast milk. Many women, unable to afford the expensive formula, diluted it with unsanitary water, leading to infant deaths and nutritional deficiencies. Nestlé’s deceptive marketing practices and failure to educate people about proper preparation caused immense harm in the developing world.

Our world food conglomerates are all involved in dangerous unhealthy additives and the main cause of obesity related disease and sudden infant death syndrome. They lobby to the tune of billions to change and supress unfavorable info to the public. Lobbying our lawmakers for favors quietly should be illegal.😮
