Jesus, there's more f****** maintenance involved in these Jet outboards than there is keeping a Harley-Davidson running😂😂😂... Thanks for posting 👍👍👍

Great video. Thank you. Do you have a web site - I am interested in purchasing some equipment you spoke about. I am in Alberta, where are you located. Michael l

Thanks Rob! Wish I would have had this a few years ago. One thing I see with my 420 is it planes nice but when I hit a skinny section of water the bow will suck down and start plowing. Is this normal?
@RobBryce6 ай бұрын
That’s normal That’s the only time mine plows water as it builds a layer of water below the boat in skinny water
@TheSilver9r6 ай бұрын
It sure slows the boat down, I hate losing speed when it gets skinny!

I am not sure if they made a flush adapter hole on your pump Q. Have a look and see if there is another bolt in between the grease fitting hose ends. or email me at Rob.bryce@telus.net for more info

reading the outboard diagrams from outboard jets it should be sharpened with the bottom having the bevel or once off and flipped over the top. you described it the opposite. i have sharpened mine for 10 years the way you described it and now the other way as advertised and see zero difference in performance. but i can say its much easier to put the bevel on the bottom edge
@eggrolll3 ай бұрын
It's just common sense. Why would you want the beveled edge on the bottom, therefore directing water downwards? If you have the angle facing up it will direct water upwards toward the pump.
@jordangill97113 ай бұрын
@@eggrolll i can agree with you. like i said been doing it that way for many years. Now have been doing the other recommend way and see zero performance difference but the way they recommend is much easier to file.

@RobBryce6 ай бұрын
Yes I do sell the small flanged liners and stud kits
@stevenbanman99476 ай бұрын
OK good to know I will probably need one this spring/summer. What's the price on that?
@RobBryce6 ай бұрын
I think about $75 for liner ans $450 for the poly shoe
