Starting my school social work career next week! Just finished grad school and got my LSW a few months ago. I totally have that feeling of being "not worthy" of my dream job. I’ve been watching you since I started my MSW program in 2016 😊😊 I recently was offered a position in schools as a school based therapist / social worker serving 5 schools per week through a non profit. I’m super excited because I’ve always wanted to do school social work! My experience is an a family therapist out in the community often. Thanks so much for your videos and Facebook community group. I am starting my first year as a new school social worker and my nerves are everywhere. I would love for you to share more tips and resources. Some examples: how to deal with difficult parents, student crisis, attendance incentives / ideas, and tips for interviewing parents for IEP process.

Thank you so much for this video! I just accepted a school social work position that feels like my dream job and just like you were saying in the beginning, I'm grappling with anxiety and wondering if I deserve this and whether I'll be good at it. It was so helpful to hear that other people feel this way too. I'm transitioning from an outpatient therapist role to elementary school social worker. I start at the school in the fall and I'll definitely be watching more of your videos as I prepare to step into my new role! Thank you!

Your channel is saving my life! I am so excited but nervous too about starting my first official job as a school social worker even though I've had two school field placements prior.
