I agree man ive been complaining about it myself. It will push people to take more risks and stop hiding in their bases too scared to get in gunfights, especially if you play solo. It really sucks ass going uncon from one chest shot

the Terminator strikes again. As always, one can learn a lot from the way TopeREC moves and visually scans the area. Is it time to bolt or flank is it time to sidestep is it time to go prone, time to shoot, etc. It's a beautiful thing when you begin to really grasp it. The actual pvp however takes experience and it has a lot to do with getting desensitized to the gunfire and combat. That's partly the point of real life military training drills. So think of dying in DayZ as a training drill. Take the risk, get the experience. You can absolutely do it all over again.

I love the @TopeREC content. I’ll never be able to get on board with community servers though. I adore official vanilla. I play solo or duo almost exclusively and would not want anyone to be able to tank shots more…. I don’t like having to mentally re-catalog the items of modded servers, and most of all - the only thing worse than a hacker is a bad admin. I’ll still stick with bullets being as deadly as possible for sure! It’s a shame the PC community doesn’t have more official/vanilla content creation - it is the only DayZ I can fully appreciate. Cheers to another banger video though.

Another great Tope Production. Vanilla shock damge is still messed up, but so is slamming a helicopter into the ground and flying away, Vehicles are still the most broken thing.

Dayz will forever be the greatest game of all time. It's one that gives you the highest highs and the lowest lows. I recently started watching your videos, you're an incredibly smart, smooth operator. Good lord you're so damn good at this game. I've tried mouse and keyboard numerous times and just can't do it but I need to force myself. I think it would help.

i agree on the shock damage needing to be nerfed, in most cases in vanilla its who sees who first. doesnt really give you a chance to fight back . and causes alot of people to run when they see people out of fear of losing instead of taking the fight.

I feel like shock damage is good makes it more realistic and gets your adrenaline pumping imo getting uncon and then getting up and killing your shooter is so satisfying I do feel like there should be ways to get your health back up rather than having to wait but iv played hc servers and they are a lot of fun it just comes down to preference either way i think you’d wreck on a vanilla amazing gameplay tope keep em coming 💪🏻

I like what you did with the shock damage, I'm not good at pcp, but I've been killed so many times after the shock damage ca.e in from so many far shots all due to uncon from the chest armor being hit, I'm on console n it almost made me not want to wear a plate cause I felt wgats the difference, wear a plate, get shot once n go uncon n die or just due from no armor, at that point what was the difference.

Great video as always. About the shock damage, i like how Vanilla works, i find it more "realistic". But i have way less skills than you, i'm average at best, not bad at aiming, but i lack the incredible situation awareness that makes you so good at the game. I totally understand why you prefer the way it is on your server, tho. Also, good job to you and your team in Lightsout event, it was very enjoyable to watch with the cast stream on the side.

As far as the shock system on vanilla versus other modded servers like KK, I’d take lightly modded every time. Not only that the stamina is better as well. It just makes the game more playable and the fighting more interesting.

About the sniper one shot ability in the chest. I have a Arma 2 Overpoch inspired DayZ server. And we have the same concept with one exception. The oldschool cheytac from arma 2. It's super rare, so you don't see it much. But when you hear the classic *tss* sound. You know you bit of more than you can chew. Server is called Remnant Overpoch btw

When you shot the driver of the heli the first time and they went down, do you think he just went uncon? How did the crash damage not kill them both? Then the second shot on the driver but they still got away. Is the passenger able to swap into the driver's seat?

i think the shock damage with platecarrier is kinda realistic. but you are pretty much out of the fight untill you regain health and it takes al long time. red flashing from that one shot is a lot. yellow health when you go unconscious or white with a gap would be more balanced maybe? i dont know. double blaze to the chest shreds

I agree, shock damage should be tuned down a big on vanilla, seems like you get k.o'd and finished instantly sometimes.

dont play anymore but its still a good day whenever you upload. vanilla servers = people using alts so really a squad of 2-3 becomes 4-6 mainly why i quit playing on ps4 cant wait to play on pc again 10 year old game and still love to watch content.

I play on a modded Livonia server with insane ghillie camos and 50 cal suppressed weapons and man is it awesome to get long shots on people and then not know were it came from

I'm not much into the killing in my personal DayZ trails of more than 3000 hrs, but love your journeys and agree that the game is more fun if a sniper can't one shot you in the chest when your fully geared. Also the best gear should be hard to come by. Just more fun when you find it and hurts more when you loose it. Life is like that. And Get Well Soon... take care of yourself.

Concerning the topic you mentioned: Shock DAM is too vanilla and gives the player little chance to survive and I would normally go for the head too. It feels better shooting for the head instead of about 3-5 shots with a rifle to the chest. Shock DAM needs to be buffed just a little bit but at the end of the day it comes down to "whoever sees who first" Also that helicopter scene was hysterical, the shot and heli landing 👍🏻 Only in DayZ

I dont mind the shock damage so much. I'm also kind of average at the game, so it helps me out lol. The shock damage is serving its purpose in this scenario by narrowing the skill gap between me and better players. I see why it pisses off high skill players and I wouldn't be too upset if they changed it to more like what you showed.

I don’t mind the shock damage in Vanilla but I also understand that nerfing it leads to more epic gunfights. I think the Vanilla setting is probably more realistic for the most part as a shot to the chest while wearing a plate with a high powered rifle at short to medium range is going to put you on your ass IRL. It is good to have choices as to servers that have what you are looking for.
