Lawn care like a boss. This week started off a little crazy, but ended up being a pretty good week. I got saved by some properties not needing a mow this week. Since I was solo for most of the week that really helped. Hunter is out with a bulge in his nut sack. OUCH!! Next week will be a full go with everything to mow and both guys ready to work. Hopefull!!
Join me so we can share ideas and learn from each other and
build our business together, one stripe at a time!!

Tip for trimming around mobile homes: I work for two mobile home parks doing contracting, water/sewer repairs and i also take care of all grounds. What i have found is the easiest way to trim around them with bottom track that sits low on the ground is to act like you are edging. Basically tilt the trimmer so you are edging right around the outside of the track but don't take it to the dirt. That home you did had some pretty high bottom track. Never skirted with that stuff before. Pretty good stuff especially for us who have to trim around them.

I once had a small rock hit me eye that was thrown from my trimmer. Thankfully I religiously wear safety glasses and it probably saved me some pain. I do agree music helps get you pumped up to mow. I usually listen to some fast paced rock when I really need to work quickly.

I think we all need to be aware of autism or any kind of awareness whether it's autism Asperger's ADHD a DDS all that stuff I think we all need to be informed by that's the company that I work for Brian we specialize in people with Autism Asperger's severe cases we have a BB we have ADHD clients and it's important to know all that stuff and so it's good that you can get out there and do all then that is a total blessing in that way Brandon God bless you man

You know you are pushing hard when you have a dirt moustache at the end of the day!! Absolutely right about good sounds in the ears while working...you may have just hit on something, Maybe the community can start sharing there playlists or trying to put playlists together of music which might not be known to others..just a thought. Great video. And I will be aware of autism month.

under paneling is a pain in the ass to trim... about 50% of my yards are mobile homes and no matter how much you pay attention if you stumble or what not you're done. One thing I do with those is edge it first and then trim along the edge. That stuff on that trailer though looked like they actually used soffit as skirting.

THE LAWN GODS Not all communities are alike. With that said, I advertised in the local newspaper small bus section, Craigslist, Thumbtack, Facebook, website, and sign on vehicle. So far nothing from Facebook, a small few from the newspaper ad, Thumbtack, a few better from Craigslist, website, and vehicle sign. Hope others can share their 2015 experience.

I remember watching one of freaks videos about trimming a chainlink. Do u think making a slight channel on a 45 and then maintaining that channel would be good or not. I've never done it. I'd like to get your thoughts on it.
@TopNotchLawns
@TopNotchLawns 9 жыл бұрын
Randy Mikhaiel I'm not sure Randy. With the skirting on mobile homes it is very very sensitive. For me its like I really don't want to try something new because if it doesn't work you just messed up somebody's house. With chain link fence you have room for error. I actually think it would work, but I only do one house that has this so I don't want to be the guinea pig. Haha

TopNotchLawns I've done a few. I also use a slower rpm, slower moving down the edge but I also hold my trimmer so that it is at an angle where the trimmer line hits at the very bottom of the skirting on the dirt - hit dirt not skirting. Depending on the age of the vinyl skirting some can take it others better not hit at all. Metal does not matter.
