Dikko your last tutorial was a godsend for starters into character modeling, I've had some troubles myself when doing the base of the feet and how those loops work so im really excited to see this one!

Oh boyy really looking forward for this one!! The shoulder always drives me crazy especially when bending arms forward, and i dont even want to talk about the pelvis area

I'm fairly new to the channel. I have no artistic ability, but I am interested in 3D animation. I realized that I am curious about modeling, rigging, character design, set/world design, animation, AND production (camera angles, lighting, custom textures, special effects, etc.) Until recently I thought it would be impossible for me to learn all that and do it well. This channel gives me hope about the modeling and rigging at least. I'm glad I found it!

im follow your "modelling for animation" series and getting strange loops (zig zags) when selecting the "bikini loop". Here you have them really nice. Cannot wait to fix (if possible :D) the butt following this tut

Question about the topology around the elbows and knees. Would you you still recommend insetting that area for better deformation? I followed your older model series and I remember you doing that around those joints. But I don’t see it here on this model. Just curious if that’s still viable? And thank you for all of your shared knowledge Dikko! I have learned a tremendous amount from you! We are lucky to have you :D

for real, i noticed that first thing. there are various ways to model elbo's, though, that double diamond teohnique isnt the only one.

yeah of course ts still viable :). Everything is circumstancial to the use case. So if you think insetting the knees and elbows will give you a better deformation result, then do it. At higher poly counts, those insetted loops become less necessary because theres already plenty of geo to manipulate. Flipside of that is you will need to do a bit of corrective shape keys on the inside of the arms and legs so it does crush. I'll probably address it in the video at some point :)

Looking forward to it. I followed your last full body course here: kzfaq.info/get/bejne/mdJ6oa15kq67dHU.html which I think with a few more tries would probably get easier, but had problems with certain areas (pelvis, butt, etc...) how much different or easier do you think your process is nowadays?

Is there a way of visualizing topology with colors like in the video or you just select the loop cuts and assign a color? Sorry if it's a basic question 🤣🤣

Yep, just assign a different material to the specific loops you want to highlight. Adjust colour to your liking (if your want it to show in normal viewport, change the viewport colour in the material settings too)
