Any reason you chose not to use the box blade for spreading? It seems I use mine more than my loader for repairing/spreading gravel on our driveway. Also, what's your opinion on how millings hold up to rain on a sloped surface compared to crusher run?

I've only used my box blade a couple times. I imagine I'll use it for spreading and leveling once I get the hang of it. As far as slopes with the millings it depends on how steep the slopes are. Larger material first and lock it in with smaller material. You would definitely want to compact it in on a hot sunny day

Do you recommend rolling and compacting the millings? Or just let them settle on thier own?

I have always let them settle on their own. If it's hot and sunny they will bond together. I would highly recommend rolling them if they are applied on a hill do to erosion.

@@chrisward405 What is your recommendation for shady areas? I have a long driveway one section has a significant amount of shade and is on a hill to boot. Will compacting be sufficient or will I need to some how apply heat?

If it's hot out (80°or hotter) they will start bonding together on their own. It would not hurt to roll them especially on a hill. I'd definitely roll them
