Overall balance is good and the sound is quite smooth. There is no glare or hardness. The DAC is slightly on the warm side of neutral, with a slight emphasis in bass quantity. Compared to the Schiit Modi+, it is less dynamic and slightly less open sounding. However, based on the $30 price difference, the E30 II lite is a great value and highly recommended.

Do you have the Schiit Modi+? What has been your experience with it? I can't decide between the smsl su1, this topping e30ii lite or the Schiit Modi+.

@@ADNesau I have the Modi+. I also had the Sanskrit 10th mkIII and e30ii lite. To my ears, the Modi+ is the best of the lot. I think it is better balanced and more natural sounding.

Thanks for a good informative review! I am about to purchase my first dedicated DAC and I am in doubt between this E30 II Lite and the SMSL SU 1 Any recommendations?? I am aware of the fact that the Topping has more features,, but as far as audio quality, which if any, has the edge? Thanks!

Can you try to look about this TWS? Soundcore R50i For about $14 and tuning the EQ the sound is good enough to match the $50 TWS imo

Liked and subbed, quick question please, if connect this DAC to my windows 11 pc via usb will the remote work for controlling volume? sounds silly but there are is some strange feeback on amazon about this. cheers james.

Always good to see Dave on the main channel 😎 One thing I’m just so lost with is Topping’s lineup around this price range. Like, comparing the E30 II Lite to the D10s… they’re about the same price so how would one choose between them?

The D10s uses ess chips and the E30 2 lite akm chips. The ES30 2 lite specs out slightly better, on paper, although that doesn't necessarily mean you'd hear any noticeable difference. But I think it comes down to features, really. The D10s has op Amp sockets, and the E30 2 Lite doesn't. Thanks for checking out the review!
