Your videos are an example to all KZfaqrs. No unecessary 'music', no boring chat but excellent photography showing just what you are doing. You are also an exceptional blacksmith.

This is outstanding work, it really makes me appreciate the man who invented the steel laser cutting machine, if you ever meet him please give him a double bells on the rocks.

All of your videos leave me speechless. Your proficiency as a blacksmith is beyond exceptional, and dare say your skills with cinematography and editing are equally impressive. No doubt the 17 minutes I just spent watching your video will be the most beneficial use of my time today! I'd love to see plans for that guillotine also. Thank you for posting your video.
@torbjornahman9 жыл бұрын
GPaulSalvetti Ha ha, thank you very much! The guillotine is basically a ripoff of the "smithing magician" found here - www.blacksmithsupply.com/catalog.aspx?StoreName=blacksmith_supply&DeptID=269444 - I have no other plans.

Torbjörn Åhman+GPaulSalvetti I so agree with GPaul to watch your skill and finesse is a great pleasure and learning experience plus your videography improves all the time! Sometimes I can feel the metal moving to your coaxing...awe inspiring! Thanks for the link to the "magician"...really a versatile tool. Also wanted to ask if you ever sketch your pieces before you start or do you just go from your head to hands with it? Thanks Very Much! ~PJ
@torbjornahman9 жыл бұрын
pjsalchemy Thank you! Great! I often do sketches, it helps when you think through the working steps. I did a sketch for this one, shown briefly with the stating title. Had no other place for it...

Your inner sense of music shows through your hand movement, just as it does through the choreography of your video editing, and your design process (and explanation).

J'ai toujours été fasciné par le travail à la forge. Le son du marteau sur l'enclume qui me rappelle des souvenirs de ma petite enfance, et le métal qui prend forme petit à petit sous les coups de marteau. Beau travail. Merci

That was the most beautiful and masterfully crafted piece of metal i have seen on you tube. I know it was just a pair of tongs, but every hammer blow had a reason and was carefully planned out. Each heat was for a specific temperature and no higher. Well done.
