If you have a problem to perform in free running, read this description !
In collaboration with Oblivion, Jisse, Xlr84life, Chazer, Xioi, Dobby, Alastor and a lot more, discover how to free run/parkour in Toribash.
From the straight run called "KZfaq run" until the most advanced technics like jumps, climbing or flips, this part of Toribash shouldn't have more secrets for you if - and only if - you practice, practice and practice.
/!\ Something important to notice about the youtube run : After spacing twice, I holded all, so my abs are holded during all the run /!\
About the reaction time, 200 is a good one but you can put more like 47454875.
About the mod with these 3 walls : Jisse made that mod, ask him to get it.
About different grounds : Environment maps have - for most of them - a different friction than the default ground, that is why the youtube run don't work on them and why you have to adapt your moves to them. Understanding the general concept of the parkour in Toribash is the only way to reach a good run on that kind of maps instead of just repeat what you see without thinking about it.

Colton Brooks Yeah I had that problem too, but look when he mentions the first double space, he leaves out 1 step, he relaxes his pecs then does the double space then just follow everything he does after that.

Took me over an hour but I finally have a solid custom run :) It was frustrating at first that there wasn't clear step by step instructions after the launcher, but I understand why now. Not only will variables come up that you have to learn to adjust for, it's nice to be able to adapt to different mods and situations. Thanks so much for the tutorial :)

I learned that if you extend your neck while you roll, it's generally much smoother. This might only work with a couple versions of the roll.

(tl;dr section at the bottom) (and tips below) I actually use my chest sometimes and my pecs for the fine ajustments. and people regularly ask "Wait isn't that a bad idea?" and I often respond "Why shouldn't I?". Tips: here are a few tips: learning from a video can be sped up by comming into it with a few questions or trying to figure out why he does it so well. ankles do a ton more than how you step, also helps with agnling up and down. If you can dampen the force of your chest, it CAN help from time to time. the rest you'll learn your self, or I'll add a few tips here, who knows. great tutorial and got substantously better!i still use a youtube launcher and run mostly custom but if i begin in the air i can catch myself and go. TL;DR video was great, I improved a ton.

in the youtube run, every time i try to make the first step, when i adjust my ankle my tori still doesn't land on his leg he just does a splits how do i fix it, i tried already relaxing only 1 knee instead of both i tried relaxing pecs after the first two spaces and i can't seem to know what to do

if video is to fast for you to follow just click the cog/setting button next t wide screen and full screen and slow speed down to ,25 helped me a bunch when trying to follow i also opened up note pad to take sidenotes and ordered the steps to doing the runs by moving what joints before spacing like step one would be to press c and extend hips contract elbows and abs :D hope this helped

Helped me so much thank you! When I went in a parkour server I wasnt excpecting to kick my friends head, his head flew off, and it was funny when he was running on the tilted wall, i'm doing the pole/ railings or stuff. (Made me roll though)

Nothing seems to be working for me when i try and run on flat ground, with the ''youtube run' i do the first 60 frames and it works but the footing doesnt seem to work. Its really annoying the only thing i don't have on in the options is the reaction time because when it was 200 frames it didn't react when i contracted the elbows. I think i might need some help with this altogether

Why is it that when I do it exactly as he says when i contract my hip to take the first step my right foot does not stay contracted like it does in the video only it keeps going and straightens out(this is in the ghosts movements) so after i go to take the 2nd step my tori just proceeds to kick the other leg out and do a flip. I have all the settings the same and everything

This is so frustrating. I have the gravity set to -30 and the engaged distance far away so I don't hit uke while trying to run, but something is wrong. I have run in spars before and so I know the basics, but I cannot run now. I followed your early directions, but on my 2nd step mine is different from yours and it completely throws me off. Is there any other settings that have to be constant for this to work? Or is there a certain mod you use for the beginning of your video apart from the default this they put you in when you hit "free play"?

for some reason my left knee does not relax it says its relaxed but is actually extended because when i contract the left hip my tori moves his left hip like hes about to kick in the face

on a lot of parkour mods you cant use the youtube run because youre falling the whole time forwards. how can you fix this or would you recomended a parkour map where a beginner can practise?

Hey, I have a problem. I can run fine for a few 100+ metres on the default toribash "map". But when i go into a player made map such as a parkour map, my second leg always goes really high off the ground and I don't know why?? can you help please!!

i follow this step by step and play with it my self but i mess up in areas that i have no idea where like when you go to bend down and you contract both hips you hit space twice i have to hit it 3 or more so i dont know what im doing there then when i get going i can keep my knees bent like you do after the second step or so they just kick straight out and cause me to flip and i just can not fix that or figure out what i did wrong. : / eh...so hard...

je suis ta première vue mec ^^ gg pour le tuto point de vue boulot, pédagogique et meme social c'est génial, mais je crois quand meme que certains débutants auront du mal a comprendre des choses comme "il faut se redressé pour faire ceci cela" ou "ayez a l'esprit qu'il faut un maximum garder son centre de gravité bas" c'est des choses qu'il est difficile de faire sans guide assez strict, je sais pas si c'est bien claire. -Mob

I'm actually having the same problem as well when I do the KZfaq Run. I checked everything and did all the same movements as shown above, but the problem lies as soon as I contract one hip and relax both knees. I thought it had something to do with the ankles, but from what I can see from the video it appears both ankles are being held (unless I'm wrong, pls lmk). I noticed my ghost's knee ends up following through upon making the first step after I contract the hip, but it doesn't happen when I look at this video. I honestly haven't played in so long, but I've been getting back into it due to global circumstances. So far, I've put in about 60 hrs of play within the game and I can honestly already tell the improvement since I initially started (again, that is). I'd appreciate it if someone could help me, unless the only thing to do is to figure it out myself lol.

Having lots of struggles, did everything show exactly, but yet it does' work. When I start, my balance is off due to the arms, i tried everything. I can probably get you a replay if needed, please help!

I lost myself a bit... After you do the Double Space after the first step, you do a third space, don't you? And after that it's just a matter of balance?

I like toribash for 1 reason (and yes im a kid using big words) you bacicly play your nerves like to run you have to do complicated things like contract the body in certain areas. I understand that it takes you months to do this stuff. Because its hard. I wish i had toribash to master the game like you and others. Like allaroundgamers he does videos like that . For as great as the video is, one thing I find a bit hard and people might love to see a tutorial for, especially after getting good at running: How do you get up on your feet? Yeah, I know it's not too easy but it'd be extremely useful after I somehow jump a large gap or climb a wall. So far I haven't found a good guide/tutorial/help on the topic except for "Jump, try to get your self to land of your legs, land.".

Mocucha Toribash thanks.. but in those you prepare before the fall.. i was thinking about those times when you accidentally fall. for as good as 10 steps (current record before i accidentaly fell on myself) roughly straight may seem. i need a way to get up after a fall. edit: grammar.

Mocucha, also, another way to get more speed in for your jump, which is really easy that you didn't mention, is to actually if you can, extend pecs, raise shoulders, extend hips and thats it, Easy.

The youtube run wasn't explained very well, I was doing good until the instructions stopped at the launching.. I got confused on what sequence I was supposed to contract and extend and my tori ended up running as if he was in slow motion and didn't make the 1st step. so he fell ;-;

For some reason when ever i try to run on the first step my heel hits the ground instead of my entire foot. it completely messes it up and makes me just fall over. All of the settings are what you said. I have no idea what i'm doing wrong. Halp meh sum budy Edit: Never mind i got it. I just wasn't holding everything before i extended both hips.
