It shows the character of a fighter who is disappointed he won the way he did. Props to both guys. Even when dude clearly hurt his knee his opponent was concerned when he fell the way they did

Not sure what you mean, the winner won DESPITE being injured. I think the disappointment you see is Brown knowing he is seriously injured, not about "how" he won the fight.

I've torn my ACL before. How this guy continued to fight is beyond me. My knee swole up like a balloon and I couldn't put any weight on it.

I'm shocked how many fighters I see injuring their legs in this sport. Is there something with the matts or something? Why do I see leg injuries so frequently but I don't see nearly as many in UFC or boxing?

Might be the focus on dirty boxing clinches. Boxing they separate far earlier and in MMA clinches can be fully wrestled out, including the legs and down to the mat. When you're whipping another dude around by his upper body and your only way to stop is to set your feet, there's a lot of torque on the knee. You can see it go when he tries to stop getting whipped around in the first.

@LibtardsSTILLcant SilenceMe19 also might have a bit to do with the fact that no ground game is incorporated so when your in there clinching up your not thinking about going to the ground, like your not fighting it until your already going down

Yeah I’m not sure but they do move around a lot in twitch motions. They also similarly hurt their lower backs esp in mma since wrestling, judo, bjj all really mess up a lot of peoples backs

Just watched, I knew it was a serious tear in Brown's knee immediately. Based on his reaction, he knew too. Weird but it seemed like the broadcast team didn't notice or acknowledge the severity.

He's not a grappler or a MMA fighter so he wasn't trained how to fall correct or how to handle take downs. The other fighter leaned into him like a wrestler. It's likely he really did injure himself in the fall and wasn't faking.

Not necessarily a lack of knowledge but in MMA clinches involve takedowns and such. In bare knuckle there's nothing to really defense against someone whipping you around other then to plant your feet hard and that can cause lots of strain on the knee and then with someone falling on top of you, might not be able to get your leg where you want it
