when I use eye dropper on second layer, opacity automatically gets 48% with "multiply' blending mode. its so irritating

Thanks for the video . Every step was clear except using eye dropper tool. Whenever I follow you and use eye dropper tool then it is not working. How ever I have done it.

I follow along but my "paper" gets transparent, and doesnt "cut" the text :( Im stuck at @04:28

Change the color to white, full opacity and apply the Film Grain effect again, keeping grain at 20 and intensity at 7. :)

Yes. There are two more ways. One explained in this video (A tip among many more): kzfaq.info/get/bejne/jtCDd5SZ1qfOfo0.html and other method is adding all the same effects manually. BUT I believe the problem you are having is: Eyedropper tool. I have a question. I did pick the layer which is written "paper"with spuit to copy the color and effect but color is only copied not effect ...how can I do..??

In 4:27 when u expand the path and picked the color from the bg.. when i try to do so in turned into light grey and it sows the letters beneath it. So what can i do?

Make sure that Source object is 100% opaque (Not Transparent), You should not hold the shift key while picking appearance, Double Click on "Eye Dropper Tool" and Check all the boxes in the popped up dialogue box, Watch this to learn deeper about an Eye Dropper Tool 👉: kzfaq.info/get/bejne/aLGEaaulsJrTc40.html Good Luck. The opacity for both objects are set to 100% but when I use the eyedropper for the jagged object to match the background color it's so opaque that the text shows through.

I didn't understand why it didn't work with me..... your tutorial unclear, the black shape when I use the drop tool is became transparent and why you used two layers, and the appearance change when I work on the text and the shape
