Thats my favorite mower to flip Bill. If B&S still made that engine and put the quality in their other engines, they wouldn't of had to file bankruptcy! I love the auto choke and they usually start first pull.✌🎥🇺🇸

I saw my first blown Quantum yesterday. The rod let go of the crankshaft 😲 I see Hondas like that once a week but never a Quantum

That’s a decent mower for someone Bill.

It is nice. It had a new home 20 minutes after I listed it(I sell them pretty close to cost)

I'm keeping the gas mowers going in case the battery jobs die. I like to see the house from the driveway. Happy week and maybe a nice day. We're getting more rain today. Imagine that! Thanks, Pal!

I just like getting them running. Mine will be gas until I can't buy parts for the last one

If I had a buck for every carb cleaning video I've watched , well lets just say I could buy more donuts 🍩 😅 Its a gem Bill maybe you should keep this one ?

At least once a day, I get a comment on one of the carb videos that says that video helped someone get theirs running. It's always the carb 🤣 That mower was a nice one.

I was told to try it a couple years ago by Stella and have used it since then. It won't change the metal color and that's a bonus

I love these motors. I had my first blown Quantum motor this week... not a drop of oil in it
@haneyoakie145 ай бұрын
@@GuysPlayingWithTools that is the one you scraped? I probably would have tried to fix it. Probably a bad idea. I need to focus my resources better. But I still suffer from the idea I can save them all.

@haneyoakie14 I sold 2 for parts last week, a Toro and a Honda. The Honda had a hole in the block, and the Toro(with a Quantum motor) had the piston in the pipe, but it wasn't attached to the crank anymore.
@robertmailhos81595 ай бұрын
You definitely are great at saving the equipment from the scrap yard if it is worth the time and effort.plus what money you spend on getting stuff up and running again
@GuysPlayingWithTools5 ай бұрын
There is a balance. I have scrapped 2 over the last week or so. One wasn't worth saving and the other had a blown piston
@robertmailhos81595 ай бұрын
@@GuysPlayingWithTools okay thanks for the info on what you have to throw in the scrap yard 😕😔

Knowing when to stop is important. If a machine isn't worth fixing, you have to walk away and move on to the next one. There is always another machine around the corner

Yup. I have pulled new parts off of more than one mower/chainsaw/weedeater When I realized it's was a money pit. I have no problem walking away

Oh boy! More floral wire😂 The boys are going to come for you😅 And another COKE! Was that a Hart bit set I saw on the bench?
@GuysPlayingWithTools5 ай бұрын
I have used that same spool of floral wire for over 2 years, and sometimes I use it to hang Christmas decorations outside... it's the never-ending wire. That is a 3 year old Hart bit set I use 3 times a day and it still has all the bits 😁. I prefer it over the more expensive sets because the bits stay in their spots better than the rest, and it's a pretty complete set for small motor work. I am adding a metric set when I find one I like
@bigsonslawncare5 ай бұрын
@@GuysPlayingWithTools Ok cool I have the Hart tools will look at adding this to the collection ✔️
@GuysPlayingWithTools5 ай бұрын
@@bigsonslawncare I have 3 sets and this is both the cheapest($15) and the best. if you accidentally roll it over the bits stay in. If it had metric drivers it would be perfect(that's a different set)

It’s the tiny holes that plug a carb up. The ultrasonic cleaner works wonders. What solution do you use in it, Bill?
@GuysPlayingWithTools5 ай бұрын
I found that 20% Pine Sol and 80% tap water works best. More Pine Sol makes it work a little better but anything over 20% is overkill. Side note: Only use the original yellow Pine Sol or you will have to change it out every time. The assorted scented versions aren't as good and can change the color of the metal.
@EverydayProjects5 ай бұрын
@@GuysPlayingWithTools I’ll try that. Also, Pine Sol will repel rodents.
