I just received my new Timecutter on Monday. I got a 42” cut with the Myride , mulch kit , deck lift and hour meter. This is my first zero turn mower. After about an hour I was pretty comfortable with the machine. I wish I could have had one of these a long time ago. These mowers are very hard to come by due to the supply shortage. The prices have also gone up. I caught mine just in time. Thanks for the review. Much love from Texas…….

I bought the 75754 Time Cutter My Ride in late June, early July for my husband. We were geeked because we've always experienced great quality and durability with our Toro products. He still blows snow with a commercial Toro that is 25+ years old, and it starts every winter. Same with his weed wacker. But - Within a month of getting it home, the deck belt 1/2" broke - too small for a 50' deck? Mind you we mow maybe an acre of mostly flat terrain, and the cut is very nice. The company we purchased it from came out and hauled it in for service within 3 days and had it back 2 days later. Fast forward to today - extreme high pitched squeaking/squealing in the front end. Now if this was a used POS, my husband would be doing the repair himself. But, it was brand new straight from the dealership. I'm struggling with these issues so early in the purchase of this very expensive machine. And yes it sails through the gasoline because of the small tank. Any thoughts? I'll be calling them first thing in the morning :(

Vonnie, so sorry for your bad experience. We see a lot of the belts on these machines last for years and years. Seems like you got unlucky. Here are a few things to be careful of that perhaps your dealer didn't warn you of - (1) Try to keep your deck clean as much as possible, both underneath and on top. If cutting wet grass, it has a tendency to cake underneath which could add resistance to your belts, stressing them over time. (2) Be careful of sticks. Sometimes these sticks can derail a belt. There isn't much you could do about that but try to avoid them as much as possible. (3) Do not throttle down with your blades on. That belt needs tension and some centrifugal force is the best way to provide it. Throttling down makes the belt jump and flop. (4) As far as squeaky front wheels go, they have grease fittings that need to be greased every once in a while. Hang in there Vonnie, it's a good machine. Once you're past this little hiccup, it should last you for many more years to come.

I just bought the 54" time cutter. I mow about 2 1/2 acres with it . the ground is very rough here, the suspension is a game changer. Replaced the husqvarna 48" tractor. I have the Kohler motor. I highly recommend this mower.

Just bought a 75750 timecutter 50 in. from a toro dealer in my town. I could have saved 200 by going to home depot, but the dealer delivers it, sets it up, and will service the warranty. Worth every penny. 0% for 48mos. Also a plus. Lots of research. Didn't get my ride, my yard is pretty smooth, and I saved a bunch of money. Toro is quite impressive for the money, get one

The fab deck 42 is a great machine for the price. New model number is 75744. But the 42 is now available in myride as well - and isn't that much more.

Hi Coty, honestly both the engine options are good. If I was using it commercially, I might go with a Kawasaki. But the TORO does just as good.

That's like asking if you would choose a Mercedes or Honda for a 15 mile commute. Both will get you there, but it's how you get there that makes the difference.

Enjoyed the video. Must've had lot of fun doing it. This is Goro from Savannah, Ga. I had 2007 50" Timecutter ZTR. It had Kohler engine. It was great mower and I loved it. The engine just went out in July. I did my research for almost 30 days. It was gonna be either Exmark or another Toro. I decided to get 54" ZTR MyRide. Glad I did. Awesome ride! Awesome cut! I love it even more! I wanna keep cutting and not get off the mower. Only down side is there is not hour meter on it. U would think for that much money Toro would install it. Well I bought the hour meter and installed it myself. Cost only $65.00. Easy installation. Took 5 minutes. Not kidding. Toro could do without the armrests and install hour meter instead. Other than that Toro is the way to go. I order mine from Lawn Mower store in Savannah, Ga. Took 5 days for arrival and they delivered to my home 30 miles out. I even bought new STIHL equipment to do all my lawn care at home. I'm 57 yrs old and feel like I'm in my 20's again. It's fun on a Toro! That's my spin on it. This is Goro signing out!

I purchased a 75754 in spring of 2020. Well now it is 2021 and my new yard needs to be rolled! This mower has the pin hitch, but no where can I find the towing rating. I would love to get a 48" roller to tow but again, not sure of the towing capacity. Does anyone know what the towing capacity would be? I have not been able to find anywhere, including the manual.

I believe it is NO MORE then 85#. So if you get a broadcast spreader then make sure it is rated at 85#. My neighbor used a roller on his lawn with his SS4225 Timecutter (42" and a Toro 22.5Hp engine) and it was actually 'Too Heavy' but his reasoning is he only does it once a year and the ground was flat. I cannot see any reason NOT to do that if it is once a year. I would not recommend pulling something too heavy more that that though.

Yes. However, TORO does not recommend you going any steeper than that.

I've read that people were having belt issues. One person said they broke 3 belts in 20 hours. Is the belt system improved on the 2020?

TimeCutter isn’t known for breaking belts. We’ve sold a couple thousand TimeCutters over the past decade, that are still in service around our shop. And we only sell about (20) 42” belts per year and about (15) 50” belts. If 3 belts per 20 hours were normal we’d be selling roughly 6000 TimeCutter belts per year. You never know how someone may be operating their machine, possibly using a 42” to bush hog an overgrown field. If used as intended the belt is a no issue and will give you an exceptionally long service life.

Toro collaborated with an engine manufacturer named Loncin to bring this Toro branded engine to market. Loncin is also known for building BMW motorcycle engines. It started with a small single cylinder 6 hp engine, available on their recycler series. Then they built a larger 16 hp single cylinder engine and around 2015 came to market with a twin cylinder 22.5 hp & 24.5 hp. All of these engines have undergone rigorous testing in Toro’s Laboratory, and the 22.5 hp and 24.5 hp come standard with a commercial warranty. In the past 5 years we have had less issues with this engine than any other manufacturer of engines. Plus Toro is the best company in the business when it comes to parts and warranty and all of that is handled by them. As a dealer we have a reputation to uphold, and we recommend it everyday.

Robert, over-greasing is just as bad as under-greasing. A lot of these new grease less systems have bushings that last longer than the old greased type.

How do you clean under the deck?

There's a wash out port on the deck that connects to your garden hose that will help remove grass that's stuck to your deck. However, the only reason grass sticks is when you mow when it's wet. Always try to mow dry grass and keep your deck dry. This will help your mower's deck last longer and stay rust free.

Welp, after that dancing Toro is coming too get there mowers back. 😂 I'm in the market for a zero turn currently looking at a Hustler raptor limited. Now I need to go look at one of these in person. Toro makes great mowers this could be a tough decision.

Get the toro. Quieter, and feels more solid than the hustler. Toro pretty much uses their own motors or the Kawasaki engine which is better than a Kohler or Briggs

Pros, rides nice, good power plant, looks ok. Cons, stripe kit is cheesy, mulch kit is ugly when installed and the manufactured deck does not have the lift that it should. Needs more work at the drawing board.

Fair, Cannot disagree with the cheesy stripe kit and the ugly mulch kit, I would argue that with the 115-5059 blades it has all the lift it needs for the job it’s intended to do

Victor Powell you can buy them as an accessory add on. They have the wires already there, all you have to do is plug n play. It’s like an $80.00 part

I trust your opinion so I have a question for you please. I am selling my Scags and buying a new Commercial mower with the platform suspension. For a commercial application do you prefer a Toro or an ex mark? Thank you for your time and keep up the good work! Please don’t just say Toro because that’s what you sell. I’ve been in sales for years so I get it.😄

We recommend TORO not only because we sell it, but also because we truly believe it is a more commercial machine. Although Ex Mark and TORO share a lot of the same parts, in our opinion, TORO is the better machine. It has a thicker deck, superior cut, and a better belt tension system. With that being said, both the machines are good. Your deciding factor should depend upon the dealer that would take better care of your business, in your area. As we all know, regardless of the machine you buy, you would be seeing a lot of the dealer that you buy it from. Make sure you like them. If you're in Central Florida, come check our stores out in either Winter Garden or in Clermont.

Just got a new toro 60in timecutter 75760 and the blades won't engage. Help I don't know what I'm doing wrong.

Sorry this happened to you. I would start off with calling the dealer you got it from. However, you might want to check out these easy steps before reaching out: Step 1: Turn on engine and close the steering levers. Pull up the yellow PTO button and they should turn on. If this does not work, see step 2! Step 2: Shut your engine off, then make sure the belt on your mower is in place and has tension. There's a diagram sticker on top of the deck that will show you the proper routing for the belt. Step 3: Look through the discharge shoot and make sure it has blades on it. Step 4: If you feel mechanically apt, check that the PTO switch and the clutch are both plugged into your wiring harness. Step 5: If none of the above options work, take the mower to your servicing TORO dealer.

Well my 50" Timecutter has Cotter Pins on the covers. They came with it... Mine do NOT com off until I take the Cotter Pins off.

What do you mean 'if I ever messed up my bearing on the front wheels' ARE you already blaming me for messing up the machine. Are these made in china with junk metal?

They are made in the US. We see a lot of other name brands with issues on the front end / frame issues. It is extraordinarily rare with Toro. The castor setup was created for 3 reasons. In no particular order 1) aesthetics 2) manufacturing costs 3) repairability. The warranty is excellent (and Toro stands behind us on it - trust me) and the durability is great. But, if there ever is an issue, easy and quick repairs are important. Never going to complain about having the best of all worlds.

I wouldnt worry. They are replaceable for a reason. If the spindle bends, you dont have to replace the whole frame.
