Those Oak St. apartments bring back a lot of memories. That was my first residence in Toronto when I immigrated from S. Korea in 1981. Thanks for sharing this memory

Hey KenC, I'm glad you got on the north side of Gerrard Street at River Street. Right west of River Street the next was Sword Street where my mother grew up. We'd go there for Sunday dinner at Grandma's house. Thanks for the walk.

I haven't been on River St south of Dundas since the pandemic. I went down to look at the townhouses that were under construction at the time.

Thank you for your well delivered commentary on your videos i.e. the history, current happenings etc. My fear is that by demolishing a lot of the old houses and buildings in order to put up condos and office buildings etc, the historical landmarks will disappear forever. I always liked to see a little bit of sketchy, seedy and dingee areas in this city. It's very, you know, inner city. Very film noirish. Gentrification of old neighborhoods seems to be the thing these days.

Now I know why you're always carrying a plastic bag. I always thought it was something you picked up at a store carrying home. On days when I don't carry my back pack I sling my fanny pack over my shoulder (never on my hips). My gimbal fits perfectly in it.
