Kate is just one of the best actresses out there. Clearly she loves to talk about her past, be very funny (naughty at times), be serious but overall she's just an fantastic person all around.

Kate is such an inspirational woman, words can't describe how much she means to me, I've grown up watching Star Trek Voyager and Janeway was always my favourite; to this day I still watch Star Trek; and in OITNB she's just amazing!!!

I love Kate Mulgrew. I only watched OINB because Kate was in it as the character of Red. Kate is right on the money when she said that her childhood perceptions are quite different from her siblings' perceptions. My two siblings have a distorted view of our childhood memories.

have just ordered the book and can't wait to start reading. There are so many parallels between my life and hers (and we are around the same age). She is, undoubtably, the best character actress of our generation. So hope she writes "part II" about her later life. Well done Kate for having the courage and integrity to be so candid with us all. BRAVO!!!!

If u want to see her beauty and talent in her twenties you tube her first role as Mary Ryan on Ryan's hope all of her years on the show are there she was great actress from day 1 and her complexion was beyond perfect!!!! Her mother was the amazing Tony award winner Helen Gallagher you have to see some of the mother daughter scenes esp.mary giving birth as Kate as if your a fan will know gave her baby up for adoption at the very same time.most real natural birth I ever saw on screen......

As for the phone issue the way around it is either international roaming or a country specific sim card someone should have helped Kate out with this so that she could use her mobile if she needed to whilst away from home
