As promised, I compare the cadence sensor and torque sensor AND I got to spend time with Aventon reps while riding all the Aventon line of bikes. Great day!! Amazon Links in Channel Description Tesla referral link: ts.la/paul48648

I bought my Level 1 from Archers in Mesa AZ. It’s nice to know that you can get professional help if you need it. I’ve got 3,700 miles on it and must ride it everyday. I am not sold on the torque though.

I have subscribed to your channel. I watched about every video you've made. We are about the same age. I bought a cruiser e-bike last year and the tires are only 1.75 wide. I feel every bump and I'm looking for something with more comfort. The fat tires and somebody upgrades you've done I think is what I'm looking for. One thing I am wondering about is should I get a step through or the regular frame. I want something that's rigid. I bought a gazelle step through and it doesn't feel very rigid. What are your thoughts?

Thank you so much for the kind words! I think step thru in general is fine for paved trails, light riding, etc but if you’re going a bit more aggressive, that top bar makes a difference. I can only speak for the Aventon step thru bikes as I had tried them out. They are very rigid in my opinion but I haven’t tried them off road. If you need a step thru, go for it but get a good quality bike. My first choice would be a non step thru but that may change as I get older.

I’ve got a step thru Aventon Level 1. I stay on pavements and weigh 175. It’s entirely adequate plus I believe the tires are 2.25 inches wide. I lock the front shocks and added a cheap seat stem which helps when I take bumps with my ass on the seat. Bigger bumps require getting off the seat. I’m 70 yrs old with 5,200 miles on it. With all that time on the bike, which I absolutely love, I think about cadence vs. torque. I use the gears a lot and always pedal and I think I’ll stay with cadence.
