@@kanehoward7050 I bought into them during the Octane line. Lifetime warranty, performance that matched or exceeded the current gen of M18 fuel tools at the time, and half the price. TTI kiboshed that pretty quickly and I don't think I'd buy any of their current tools

They can be quiet accurate if the emissivity setting is correct for the surface finish and material you are testing. They are not a set and forgot tool and you can't use them on multiple materials or finishes without adjusting the settings to match

depends on the amps, i know alot of us would like to see our fav grinder on the table, but most of them are in the 9-15amp range which would destroy anything cordless.

Mines been working as long as I've been welding and it won't die I'll be sad when it does

​@MisterDoro not just tile. those are the absolute standard for welders and trades that work with metal in the oil and gas industry. ive seen these used and abused every day and left in the back of a flat deck in the rain just to be used again the next day.

I did 5 different Dewalt grinders head to head on my channel a while back, but nowhere near TTC levels of precision. Gotta give him props for the effort that goes into these tests he does.

Yeah, like the DCG418 60v and DCG416 20v compared to the OGs.

I agree with the different models from same brands. TTC will probably eventually get thru all of them as usual.

@@EFLO3D Yep, well the handheld grinder. In fact, in a large part of Europe, they just call an angle grinder a flex in the same way we might call an adjustable wrench a crescent wrench.

The Bauer cordless grinder is definitely a good pick, compares well to the Dewalt I used to have and it's going on about 2 years strong

i have the same harbor freight dual action polisher that i use daily since 2016.. it still going strong and take all the beating.. it really impressed me how that cheap brand can compete with the expensive brand such rupes and flex in terms of performance and durability..

Yep the 8ah uses the 21700 cells just like the bigger hercules batteries. The 12ah has been announced as well but not available yet.

LTT should not be counted in the same category simply due to their extreme reliance on sponsorships (probably more than any other YT channel, to be quite frank), meaning there's no way to know if the content they produce was unduly influenced by the vendors or not.

There are commercial vibration measurement devices, and I don't think they're very expensive. Project Farm has used them several times.

@@narlycharley maybe in those unscripted moments of the WAN Show, but when the other 99% of the content they put out is heavily sponsored, you can't rely on them as being unbiased. It's just a money-making operation for Linus these days, which means adhering to the advertisers requests above all else on the sponsored videos.

@Taistelupelto420 still makes it impossible to trust the content as unbiased, since you have no way of knowing whether they're capitulating to the advertisers' requests or not, since they don't have to make the contract terms public.

Makita are still good, but nowhere near as good as they were.

@@bairnonessie That is true for most things since corporations have gone to less quality and more quantity.

I had the same first introduction with Hercules tools when I first bought my mother her 12v Hercules drill. The first one worked for a few days with little to no use and just suddenly pooped out the last time she used it. No drama, no magic smoke, nothing. It just quit and wouldn't respond. But because we didn't have it very long it was still under warranty so I just brought it back to the store and exchanged it for a new one with no questions asked. The second one has been working perfectly fine with constant use and is still going strong a year or two later. I was disappointed when the first one pooped out but I understand that thousands of them are made in a day and you're bound to get a bad one eventually. Since I really wanted to try the Hercules tools I stuck with it and everything I've bought since then have all been great. :)

These days you really have to wonder why and how they fail to balance the rotors on their tools so bad.
