This High-Torque is now out! homedepot.sjv.io/a1AQ4Z Ryobi called and said we should re-test with "this" battery, so we did: kzfaq.info/get/bejne/lcyXbJWF2ci9Yo0.html To clear up some confusion, this is Ryobi's HIGH TORQUE 1170 FT-LB model. Not their P262 Mid Torque 600 ft-lb model. We busted our rump to try and get this out today. We DO NOT accept endorsements, gifts, or anything from brands. Since we get asked a lot about this, If you purchase anything from our Teestore and FWD your our order email to Torquerank@gmail.com you'll get a link to all our live updated rank lists

I really like that you don't accept manufactures free products even if they don't require a review. Many manufactures are known to send better, clean units for review compared to what they sell to consumers. So by only buying units available to consumers, I know that what your reviewing is the same version that I can buy. So thanks TTC

I have this impact. I run all Ryobi tools at my house. I’ve had their basic drill and impact for almost a decade now and the drills and batteries are still running strong. I also have their hammer drill, air compressor, this high torque impact drill, and all their bits. For the average joe who isn’t using this stuff everyday, their products are perfect.

I have to agree with you. I've been using Ryobi for years, Homeowner/DIY I have 3 drills, 9ft pruner, 40V String trimmer & Snow blower, Impact driver, Miter Saw, and a few others. They give the homeowner good bang for the buck and in home use anyway, they seem to be durable enough. The only issue I've had is with the 40V batteries failing due to allowing them to run down and overheat.

Agreed, I had to replace my set of battery-powered tools a few years back and the tool availability was a deciding factor. Overall, I'm very pleased with what I have gotten so far; drill, impact driver, all-purpose saw, circular saw, reciprocating saw, etc. Although I have to say the 1.5mah batteries should only be used in an emergency or for a flashlight. The only tool that disappointed me is the stand-up led flashlight. It's performance is pretty amazing, but the durability is lacking. The swing-up arm became loose, and when I tried to tighten it the mechanism broke.

@mdocod
@mdocod 2 жыл бұрын
@@ItchyKneeSon Pretty dry here... Front range Colorado. We get some rust on cars from winter road chemical use but it's minimal. For this area and the cars that spend their lives here a "basic" cordless impact will remove most of the bolts on most cars and light trucks. It's also worth pointing out that it's the hammering action that really helps break free rust, so even a "weaker" impact still makes a great rust-buster.

I used the 2AH High Performance battery on the P262 to compress a pinion crush washer on a GM 10 bolt rear differential. It worked well. I wanted to sneak up on the preload, so I crippled the power of the tool. Or so I thought. The 2AH battery surprised me. It did drain quicker than I was expecting though. The DeWalt DCF901 with 5ah battery didn't have enough beans for the job.

Love how Ryobi has stuck with their line and their batteries to be specific. That whole business with Ridgid ditching the octane was unfortunate. Pretty much killed that amazing high torque they had, it isn’t the same without the octane batteries. I’m tempted to pick this one up. if they really need high amperage batteries, you could try to attach a hobby grade lipo used in RC Cars and drones. the 18v replacement should be a 5cell lipo. they are the best at delivering high power, they are just a little fire hazard, picky on how low you can discharge and dont do many cycles. assuming the tool runs on just plain dc without communication with the battery

LOVE TO SEE SOME TORQUE TESTING of PORTABLE CAR BATTERY JUMP STARTERS! You guys are really setting the bar when it comes to rating anything as most guys I LOVE STATISTICS and appreciate being able to have that confidence I’m buying the absolute BEST tool based on the numbers that are important to me. Once you start sifting through KZfaq and are able to separate the other “Review Channels” that you question if they knew what they were reviewing as they’ve mispronounced the name twice and telling you how wonderful they love this product! Thank you for doing things RIGHT! I needed a jump starter this morning and realized that the 4 that I have were Le still amongst friends and family, so I went on Amazon because I hadn’t bought a car battery jump starter in a hot minute and was curious where the prices were at and what came across my screen blew my mind! There’s got to be 25 different brands which all say 1000, 2000, 3000, 4000 up to 10,000 AMPS! Prices from $28 to $1000. It would be cool if you guys had a way to torque test jump starters, be able to give the real numbers on how many amps and for how long those amps are useable in an emergency. I know a couple of the good brands which I have but there’s a couple off brands that I bet some of your followers would really value that content if you can swing it? Looks pretty good - might end up with this one over the mid torque Ryobi since it is not so massive for a high torque and not much more in price.

I have the Dewalt, and when I need a bit more power, I use their new 8ah battery I picked up with another tool. I can't say for sure it has more power, but it seems to rattle my hands a lot more! I picked it up used on ebay and only because that's the batteries I have. It's a little disappointing on your chart but mostly does what I need. Thanks for all your work! P.S. I saw you tested it with other batteries in their line, but I didn't see the 8ah.

Man, for the rare times I need a lot more torque, I'm considering buying this! I have a Dewalt DCF921 that generally does most of what I need, BUT I have run into walls where I needed to call family with a 2767. This thing is on sale right now from Home Depot for $159 WITH a 4ah battery! Sooooo tempting lol.

It's also about how much you want to spend money on a nutcracker with? And there Ryobi beats most of the big brands. Then there is a Ryobi that releases 1600nm. But what's the point? Do you screw cars every day? Then you need a machine that can handle 1000 - 1600nm in turn? But as a home fixer, you can go a long way with a nutrunner that has a turn of 400-700 + nm in turn! These tests are fun to see, and between the brand Ryobi is at least as good if not better in terms of price, than other brands :)) More expensive is not always the best as many in this World Always think :))
