Cait and Tommy went aggro because you landed in Power Armor next to them - it basically causes a little earthquake and does aoe damage when falling from height but there's a perk that fixes it. Love love loving this series!!

Woodle, the blimp is a ship that is named Prydwen. After you joined him, he literally brought up the ship in the very next conversation. ETA - Also, Cait is one of the few companions that can keep her current outfit and wear it under armor.

Check trash can Carla for shipments of supplies, when she comes back to your settlement. It's better than buying and searching for cans. Invest into local leader and you can build shops.

Hah! Cait just broke me with that threesome line. Couldn't stop laughing. It was wort it for that one line even if you didn't take her with you. Although i recommend to take her with you eventually - she have a quest for ya! To get you more aluminium, try setting up radio tower in each settlement, including sanctuary, to get more people move in and assign them to scavenging stations - they will gather materials for you over time. Also take a look at scraper perks and similar, they may give you more/better materials from stuff.

lol, glad you took us time travelling :-P was wondering why Cait was hanging out at Sanctuary, her "addiction" issue is part of her quest chain, almost all the followers have personal quest chains that you can complete, some are really interesting and worthwhile doing, Nick's and Cait's are pretty good. You should throw a few points into the armorer skill (in the strength tree) so you can upgrade and mod armour, or craft your own. Can't wait till you meet Strong lol. Also, I'm pretty sure you can join all the different factions without issues, although it might make things interesting at end game lol.

If you take Cait as a companion you can help her get rid of the addiction. Never had her stay in a settlement before we completed her personal quests, but I assume she will be disruptive and cause morale to go down. I don't know that, just assumed.

when you land in power armour it causes AOE damag, hurting and turned Cait and Tommy aggressive. Be careful when dropping any height in power armour. I've had entire towns turn violent due to unintended injury to civilians

When I went through the memory den part not only was I not sorry about killing Kellog but I wished I could kill him again: he knew what it was like to lose your whole family and he still did it to the player which made him even worse

Those raiders truly are masters of deception! Cait is ready to go! Now you gonna need your dazzling dress, some rizz hat and some alcohol to convince good old Pipper! And you forgot about scrapper, you were putting points into inteligence to get it. It's pretty nice for mats when you scrap weapons and armor that you find around. I never go and take off mods and so, just get scrapper and scrap everything.

If you have 3 guard posts, but only 1 guard, that guard will move between the guard posts, spending time at each one before moving on to the next one. if you have 3 posts and 3 guards, they stay put unless the guard posts are put in weird places. and the game decides if the place is weird. i've had rooftop guard posts empty, while the guard hands around in the room below.

Mods sell seperately, But if you find 'legendary' armor that gives REALLY good benefits those mods will help boost it up so it's at least moderate strength. (there are three levels of most armor btw. Using the heaviest version gives the best stats.)

You can rename your favorite weapons (numbers in front of the name, equivalent to the key they're attached to?) and clothes/armor (I just put * in front, so they show up in the top of the list). Makes inventory management way easier. Also, to bring your compass back to life, have only one quest active at the time.

@jaWoodle I wish you had taken more time and listened to each of the speeches and clickables during the memories. You missed a lot of Kellogg backstory, he wasn't an all bad guy, until a certain point. Edit: you missed a large portion of his life, since you didn't watch it, what happened to him was even worse than you. Your kid is still alive somewhere, someone killed his whole family. You blame him sure, but he had it worse and became cold as a result. look at your character, you only lost your wife and you laugh off nuking the man.

Yeah, you can't play Fallout like it's 7 days. I remember the first time I killed Kellogg, and I was happy like Josh. Then came the memory den and boy, did I feel like a pile o sheet.

Exactly......Josh takes WAY too much glee in random murder and revenge. He acts and thinks more like a raider than "one of the good guys". Kellogg was cold and heartless because he went through all that, became a mercenary for the Institute and was just doing a job. He didn't want to kill Nora, but wasn't going to risk problems with obtaining the infant. It wasn't personal. By the same token, killing Kellogg shouldn't have been personal either......but Josh makes EVERYTHING 'personal', so even when Danse (part of a military organization) doesn't just spill everything to a civilian he gets indignant and rants about it. And when Danse offers him a spot in the Brotherhood (again, a military organization) Josh acts like accepting is the end of his existence.....that he MIGHT have to follow a few orders and not just whatever he pleases. And considering its only been a few days (from the players perspective) since his wife was killed, he's being awfully flirty with the companions. So much for grieving, eh? And leaving the weapon that killed her in his wifes pod with her body? That's some pretty 'unpleasant' thinking.

The reason Cait and Tommy agro'd on you was due to you dropping from too high too close to them in power armour, it does a small amount of AOE damage when you land near NPC's

heads up cait can pick any locks you only have to give her lock picks and point her at the thing you need unlock doors safes then no need to put points into lock picking again

Please Josh, give Piper some better gun, while institute lasers look cool they are the lowest tier energy guns. :D Also, you can have both Piper and Cait as your girlfriends and switch between them as your companion. Also they aren't the last female companions you will find. ;) Good stuff. :)

For unknown reasons the actual 'content' for the Combat zone got cut. There is a mod that removes the 'instant hostility' and completes/adds back that cut content btw. It makes WAY more sense with that content restored. It's already IN the code, why they removed access to it was confusing for EVERYONE.

Whatever factions you don’t side with, that’s why another play-through is for and other companions to use and romance. Hint they also have special perks after full romance level. 💜 I’m loving this btw can wait for 100k stun baton only 😂 💜

I do hope you get off the main quest for a while. Traveling with Nick is great. Venturing into some DLC's, going on adventures. There is SO MUCH MORE to the game than the MSQ. Woodle: How dare the brotherhood not help me when I'm not allied with them at all. the nerve! 😆 Look mate. Bethesda's writing is not as deep as you may think it is, ya just gotta kinda go along with things. Tip-o-the-day: Set up powered water pumps for unlimited clean water (great for selling and as a healing item)

You're putting a bunch of extra syllables on the word aluminum. Grats for findings Cait. As far as mods go, and removing them from armor/weapons.. It's usually pretty obvious when an item has a mod on it, it'll be in the name, "muffled", "leaded", "pocketed", etc. For lower tier stuff you're not going to use, totally, sell/scrap it. But for newer thing you find, like the combat armor, it's worth just seeing what mods can be salvaged to be used on other gear later.

Ok, Woodle, PICK THE SARCASTIC OPTION MORE. You’re missing out on a lot of great dialogue that are comical and funny. With the trader you robbed awhile ago, using the sarcastic option could’ve gotten you slightly reduction in prices and made the NPC have a laugh. Please pick the option more.

*Psst* Ordinary Clothing "😉Sequenced dress" can be Modded with Bullet proofing "Err-Armoured up" mind you you do need to be levelled up correctly and have the right materials at hand.. Also I am pretty sure when you scrap things the mods are loined Err-learned and I think they are stored in the work bench "or maybe that was via a MOD?".. Meh.. pretty sure the vanilla game did it..

Don't bother removing mods from stuff! It will cost you valuable resources to remove the mods, worth more than the mods. The only reason to remove mods is if you might want to use that mod on the exact same piece of gear. Like if you have a legendary 10mm pistol you can take mods off a normal 10mm and stick them on the legendary, even if you can't make the mod yourself. If you go into the Scrapper perk, scrapping weapons, armor and mods becomes worthwhile. Even with max points into scrapper it still isn't worth ripping mods off random equipment. There is a recipe for adhesive in the Cooking Station. Under utility you can find "vegetable starch." It costs 3 mutefruit, 3 corn, 3 tatoes and 1 purified water to make 1 vegetable starch. 1 vegetable starch scraps into 5 adhesive. Set up a lot of settlements to make what you need. Powered water purifiers put purified water into the settlement's inventory. You have to take food and water from the settlement's inventory to keep the settlement producing. If you don't take it, the settlers will stop harvesting once a surplus exists. Also if you put points in Local Leader you can assign someone to set up a supply line between settlements. Supply lines lets you use resources in any linked settlement for crafting.

you can just grind out all of the 4 faction mission till you have to choose to side with at the very end of the game. I have beat fallout 4 almost 10 times i think at this point

After a while, the armour you pick up is worthless, the caps you get from it, don’t justify the weight of carrying it about. You can make some trade stands, some actually bring in money over time, but as you don’t spend a lot of time in your settlements, probably not worth it.

Sorry woodle, I skipped the first 20 minutes. That memory sequence is so painful for me. If you play again, you can just run through all of that, you don't have to wait for the scenes to end

Josh 1 sell pre-war money. 2. The enclave was added to the game, and another faction couldn't join them. 3 there is a 2 shot fat man launcher in diamond city 4. There are new guns in the game that are op. 5 nick unlocks turmonals 6 piper does lock-picks 7 cait is a better alli for me 8 you dont need 40 rad away or rad x. 9 you can make cait clean
