Endora Mia I’ve been thinking and saying that for years! There’s other people in the entertainment industry in different forms of it that have Dame and Knighthoods and most of them haven’t even done a quarter of what Chris and Jayne has done for different charities and the different programs they’ve set up to help other children and young people find their correct path and way in life whether it be becoming ice skaters or movie making etc... anything to give them a chance in life. And most of these famous people have got them just for acting or singing and it really p**ses me off sometimes. And there’s people who’s been given a Dame or Knighthood who wasn’t even born in 1984 let alone when Chris and Jayne started to skate and perform together, being given the titles because they won a Medal (some of them not even gold!) at the 2012 London Olympics, instead the Queen made them “ORDERS OF THE BRITISH EMPIRE” OBE’s and that’s just BS. These two deserve more than that. They changed the rules and opened up for new ways for athletes after their unforgettable and world breaking, gold medal winning performance of Bolero in 1984 something we’ve not seen since or ever likely to see ever again. They ARE together! And they both choose to be together the way they are together and they both do seem to be happy about the way they are together!

I just googled it and according to the result that popped up it has been renewed for a new season in 2021! I hope thats correct because I'll be gutted if Jayne and Chris aren't back next year.

Thats exactly what I've always thought. Isabelle said in an interview that Chris's proposal was very unexpected. That along with the timing leads me to believe he was reacting to Jayne getting married. Its really to much of a coincidence. Also, in a 1983 interview Jayne intimated that she wanted to get married someday and she wouldn't count Chris out for her husband. I think they were very close for many years but were always committed to putting skating first. Maybe Jayne hoped for a while that Chris would calm down and someday want to change things but as she got older realized it wouldn't happen and chose someone else prompting Chris propose to Isabelle. But I think Chris always loved Jayne, he was just so focused on the skating and keeping himself and everything else under control that it ruined what they could have had. I always say, its so tragic in a way. (this is all just my conjecture of course).

It breaks my Heart that these two aren't together. 💔😭 There's still time though! 🤞🙏 They are Soul Mates. ❤️🌹 Surely with their Love for each other, if they chose to be together, they could work through any issues and obstacles, especially now when the timing is different and what they want out of life from now on is different?🤞🙏 They both just need to stop fighting it and allow themselves to completely follow their Hearts for once and not their heads and give things a/another chance. For once in their lives, they need to put themselves and their wants first and not the other people in their lives or anything else. They deserve to be Happy together because it is clear to see the depth of their Love for one another. 😍😍 What they have is something that they'll never find with anyone else. They are meant to be together in every sense. 💏💜💜 Goddamnit, they could both spend the rest of their lives waking up in each others arms every morning, Chris looking into Jayne's gorgeous blue eyes and that amazing smile of hers that lights up her whole face and Jayne looking into Chris' beautiful Hazel eyes that can't help give away his every feeling and that cheeky grin of his. But that won't happen until they BOTH make a Goddamn move and SOON! 😉😉 xxx

They both claim that they don't but as we all know, they aren't telling us the full story about their Relationship. Their respective Partners must get jealous. How can they not, when Jayne and Chris are so close and have so much history together and when the Love (past and/or present) between them both is clear to see? There are a couple of times where jealousy from their respective Partners COULD have possibly been shown to be the reason behind a couple of instances but that's just people's opinions and theories and one of many possible reasons it could have been. I would be jealous if I was one of their respective Partners but Love is complicated and I've actually been in the position of being in Love with two people at the same time. When I was in my Teens, I was in Love with a work Colleague and Friend but never told them at the time and then met someone and fell in Love with them too and started a Relationship with that person. I actually told my Partner about my feelings but made it clear that there was no way I would ever cheat on them and that it was them that I wanted to be with. Surprisingly, they were ok with it. After a little while, I did actually tell my Work Colleague and Friend that I was in Love with them but they didn't feel the same way about me. However if they had, I honestly don't know what I would have done. I might have left my Partner at the time, to be with my Work Colleague. Maybe it's a similar situation and their respective Partners aren't too jealous because they've accepted that Jayne and Chris are always going to be in Love with each other but trust their Partners and believe that they are committed to their Relationship and aren't going to leave them? Maybe the fact that Jayne and Chris are BOTH in Relationships helps their respective Partners feel less threatened as well. Maybe when Chris was briefly single, the jealousy increased slightly? xxx

@@theresonlyonetruep3 Yes, it depends on the situation. At one time, many years ago I was in love with my fiance', and was infatuated with another man at the same time, but never acted upon the latter. Their spouses know the situation and they either have to accept it, or move on. I know me and I'm pretty sure I could never be comfortable with it. Nothing will ever change Jayne and Chris' relationship. Thanks girl!

Just re-watched Joe and Karina's performance (if that is the one you mean). I don't think the the lyrics for "Don't Start Now" seem that relevant as Jayne and Chris have been skating together for about 30 years afterJayne got married. It also seems to go against the pattern of their own song choices of post-2013. There was a change there seems in 2013. Not sure why though. Before 2013, if you remove all the songs with guests who I am sure chose the song instead, all their new music choices seem to be dance related; such as: "Swing With Me", "Sway", "Save the last dance for me", "Moondance", etc, (not counting "Sing Sing Sing" as that is a repeat from the 1980 Olympics). Or they are performance related such as: "The best is yet to come" or "Let Me Entertain You". Since 2013 they have been far more about their partnership as they are all about love or long term partnerships. For example: "Better Together", "The Power of Love", "In My Life", "Just the Two of Us", "You've Got A Friend In Me", "Me and my Shadow", "Stand By Me", "Fly Me To The Moon", etc. I am not sure what happened in 2013 but it is like they went through a subtle rebranding. Not just their song choices have changed, but they also seem generally closer. Their photos for magazines have also changed from dance holds and standing side by side to more coupley. Now, they seem to be hugging, standing "pelvis to pelvis". The one for the Daily Mail in 2014 with Jayne wrapping her leg around Chris is far more risqué than ever before. And dont get me started on the history of their personal relationship. Until 2013 they have been very consistent with their story (even if that is at odds with what they said in the 1980s). Since 2013 and this interview with "the dabble" it has changed at least 3 times. None of which actually fit their own timeline! Sorry for the long rant. It has been bugging me slightly and I still don't get why 2013 saw such a change. I assume it is related to their announcement of ending DOI the following year.

Interestingly that is what an audience member said that Chris said. That would match the 1983 biography, the holiday photo (which always confused me), etc. But when asked about it for the Radio Times interview in 2018. They changed it to 14 years old, which really didn't fit and funnily they changed some information in order to make it fit.

Actually Daisy, I heard it was the other way around, as Jayne said. She was in love with Chris for a time but it was not requited. But I love their still extraordinary chemistry as friends and as Piers said, there's no relationship quite like it.

I've always thought it was Chris who wanted more. Yes, Jayne has admitted to having a love at first sight thing for Chris but then not allowing it to grow because of their skating but she also said that she had been advised from someone at the rink that mixing personal and professional would ruin their skating careers...so something must have been brewing. She has also mentioned that Chris is very passionate and dominant and has always been the one to push her along...I think she has always admired that in their professional life but when it came to personal matters it probably intimidated her. At least, thats my personal theory because having watched a lot of their early interactions it seems Chris is usually the one touching, kissing and looking at her and she seems sort of hesitant more often than him. Plus, Chris has admitted his strongest personal relationship is with Jayne...he was most depressed when they separated and stopped skating for awhile. I don't know...all we have is speculation of course...but thats my 2 cents that no one asked for. :)
