I've never seen this routine before. I've loved Torvill and Dean since the beginning.... they really are a class act and a league above everyone else!

Exquisite! Beauty and strength. Poetry on ice and unbeatable, even by today's standards. Torvill & Dean are a phenomenon, like a shooting comet, never to be repeated, not in this lifetime I remember watching them in their first Olympics, they took the world by storm and captured eveyone's imagination. Jayne is a Goddess on the ice and Chris is a Knight, like Lancelot ravishing us with his eloquent strength...and he takes my breath away. Sigh..🔥

Whatever the music is, it's that routine that makes it mesmerizing. Love these two now and always.

Mesmerizing is exactly the word I was thinking!! Magical. They have enhanced my life with the beauty and joy they bring. I agree with your "now and always".

Remember Jayne saying she struggled to connect with this music, you wouldn’t think so watching them here 👏🏻

I’ve seen their own mounted shows 4 times, plus the worlds competition (3 days). I believe their comeback Olympics loss of gold was a disservice to the sport. They won gold. I can’t even remember the 2 Russian pairs that won silver and gold. Saw their tour after that Olympics and when they started Let’s face the music, the crowd went wild. We all know their world so well we could see they had changed the steps from the Olympics, but the quality, imagination and excitement were all there. I’m writing in 2020 virus lockdown but I still love their work.

Love Jayne and Chris but that’s s strange routine I’ve never seen before. Not surprised Jayne struggled to connect with the music.

It was a piece commissioned by the BBC for their Omnibus programme in collaboration with the jazz composer Andy Sheppard. Early 90s. It's probably still online somewhere. The way their skating was filmed was so lovely, close-ups of their faces so you could see them looking happy and carefree which always lifted my spirits.

Dazzling speed and precision, all of it lovely, intricate and seemingly effortless. This is pair skating, not gymnastic stunts on ice. Notice they never do those foolhardy overhead lifts.

They couldn't. Lifts of any kind weren't allowed then - they revolutionized the sport, even the small lifts they did were brand new moves. But also the big overheads are only allowed in pairs - this is ice dance - different category.

Love them. But this music is just not them.

Они танцуют изящно, но и бесстрастно как англичане. И не как русские фигуристы.
