For some reason, when I opened the back of my computer...THERE WAS NO FREAKIN' FAN, just some silver flat panel that covered the space for the fan...YET IT WAS WORKING. Additionally, I don't see a CMOS battery either...just the space for it. For some reason, I kept getting BIOS date/time messages periodically, when I booted up. I'd change the date/time and it would boot up but all-of-a-sudden...NOTHING. It seems like it's going to turn on, as the backlight of the power button illuminates for about 7 seconds, then it goes off. PLEASE HELP, because I can turn a computer inside out (build one) BUT this is puzzling me. I need to get back in my laptop (Toshiba Satellite C55-b???...looks exactly like this one in the inside) to retrieve important stuff. Also, does it matter if the screws in the back are replaced with the correct screws (some black/some silver), as I noticed on the inside, a couple of the screw holes had numbers/letters by them but I forgot which screws go where. I put the back panel back on but REALly think I screwed up (pun intended...lol)? THANKS, whether you can/cannot help and if for some reason, you can't respond back here (or better yet, I don't get notification you responded back...been happening in my life here lately), please (PLEASE) go to my Google+ page: plus.google.com/+kimmewyattonair and leave Comment *under either post* of my KimMeTech Community! BAFFLED :-( P.S. After doing research on this issue, I noticed a lot of people wondering where the CMOS battery is and the Toshiba website does not specify whether it belongs there or not. Funny thing is, I called Walmart.com, where I purchased it and they don't sell it anymore...REFURBISHED! I waited for a minute to get a Toshiba laptop, as I've always heard they're the best and all I can say is: #Toshiba #Sucks
