Same it’s been happening for awhile but usually I can fix it within 5 minutes, I’ve been trying for almost 3 hours to fix it and none of these methods work

Nothing bloody working , it had a picture 29 mins ago for me to come back and it's just blooming black screen, I'm peeved about it. Only had new tv 11 months , Toshiba

I tried all your fixes and nothing several times. I sat it on the back porch to go to the scrap yard and thought I would turn it on one more time (sat for 2 months) and it worked by just plugging it in!!! I dont know why but its working now............

Thank you! I jumped right to method three cause its mounted on the wall and difficult to unplug. I couldn't find a power button but used *input* button. It worked.

Hi, My tv’s screen was behaving the same black screen and only sound was coming. However when I unplugged the cable wire. Turn off then on and restarted. This method worked great for me.

Hello I have a Toshiba fire TV and the App screen displayed but when I pushed the button to play a movie, the screen just went black. I have a Universal remote, but since I only got the black screen I used the Universal remote BUT NOW I CANNOT PAIR THE UNIVERSAL REMOTE to the TV. THE TV WILL NOT GO PAST THE PAIRING SCREEN. Switching the outlets worked for my Toshiba. I am using an extension cord and I just swapped my tv cord with my fire stick cord on the extension.

My Toshiba Tv appears normal when turned on,few minutes after few lines will just appear and few minutes after this,a bright white lite will just appear on the screen,then whatever is being watched on the screen freezes,and it goes back to normal again,and then repeat the steps from the start again.Please,advice cos i bought this tv just over a year ago.Thanks

Sounds like a failing back-light driver or LED strip.

The third method didn't work for me the first time. The second attempt, I unplugged the TV. I held the input button down. While CONTINUING to hold the input button down, I plugged the TV back in and waited until the Toshiba logo came up. Then I released the input button

After this, TV screen was on as per usual. My Toshiba remote would then not work. I used a different Toshiba remote and that worked, so that's what I'll stick to as long as it works

Hello Jesus, to answer your question if you are having those sound issues and you already had issues with a lamp inside, I wouldn't put any more money into it. It's probably best to just replace the unit and get a newer model. The way they make TV now and how they have come down in price, it's not worth the price to get them repaired. I would go with a Samsung, LG, or Sony.

My screen is blank but the green light is on. When I unplug from the wall and plug back in after 60 seconds the power light flashes between green and red and after a few seconds goes red, then I power it on with the remote and the power light goes green but still o picture. This happens now and then and it works fine after a few attempts but is annoying...
