Love this video! I'm also a certified fitness professional and this has changed my life in the worst way. Haven't been training cuz I can't demo stuff. I relate to her so much! Surgery in 61 days! I'm nervous, yet excited.

Hey! Happy to hear these successful hip replacement surgeries and seeing you guys getting back to your work. My mother is 50 & she went through hip replacement 4 months ago. Surgeon told she will be able to walk after 3 months of bed rest but the situation is not like that even after 4 months. When we got her recent check up done, the same surgeon told to redo the surgery. For 1st operation only she initially got scared but now it's too hard to convince her for redoing the surgery. Kindly guide. Help! 🙏 We all family members are feeling so low 😞

total hip replacement right side 2010, left side total hip replacement/ 4 month ago. I heard the newer ones are great. I did have problems when I turned to fast, like jumping off my riding mower wrong. I do not feel that with this new hip. I can turn wrong with my 2010 hip even this day.

Which procedure has been better for you: the THR or resurfacing? I am trying to decide between the two. Two different surgeons.

My surgeon has told me to avoid lunges and squats. Also running. Is he correct? I had bilateral hip replacement 6 months ago and still have a limp in left hip. I rehab each day.

My name is shogib , 3 years ago I completed my total hip replacement operations. Now I'm ok but I think I need to operation left hip. I'm so afraid for Hip joint and my whole life. I think I can not do any hard work forever.

I noticed you was running I thought that was frowned upon after hip replacement?.
@queenred1984 Жыл бұрын
People run 🏃♀️ all the time.
@nickshields7258 Жыл бұрын
@@queenred1984 A very random answer,people don't always run all the time after Hip Replacement because it's not advised too by consultants and surgeons.
@disqusrubbish5467 Жыл бұрын
@@nickshields7258 It depends. The anterior approach usually has fewer restrictions. My surgeon has no restrictions (except no bathtub, swimming, or Jacuzzi for 3 weeks). Other than that people run, bike, play tennis and pickle ball or whatever. It's something you need to talk over with your surgeon because in addition to the approach (anterior, lateral, posterior) the materials used can make a difference I think. They no longer use metal on metal, they don't usually use an all ceramic femoral head (which could crack) but do use ceramic on metal, the newer polyethylene lasts a lot longer. And...it can depend on your bones... So yes, it's something you need to discuss with your surgeon.
