I've watched about 6 different watch repair sites and this is the only one where the vintage cases are restored to almost new condition. It really give me pleasure to see how a horribly scratched up case can be improved with the right skill and tolls such as the Nekkid Watchmaker possesses.

Lol I saw a documentary once about this micro-carver. You know those guys that write on a grain of rice and such. Well, he did alot of swimming cardio every day, to lower his rest heart beat, because the pounding of the heart shakes the body. He had gotten his down to 30 beats per minute. It is incredible to watch you and watch watches. I had no idea there could be so many parts in a watch. I’m impressed you know where to put them all back! Without ever collecting watches, we have collected a far amount of them, as my husband has inherited all his ancestors pocket watches, and I have inherited two gold watches, one valued at $8000 thirty years ago. I love how watches was a symbol of wealth and importance hundreds of years ago, and then it became art, design, fashion, while we today don’t need any as we have our mobile. Thank God for people like you who takes care of these forgotten treasures!

Excellent restoration, like magic! Regarding the dial I have had luck with repairing flaking lacquer like that with hairspray. I clean the dial as you did, being very careful around the printing, then in the end give the dial a couple of coats with my wife's hairspray, it sort of smoothens out the areas that still has some of the old lacquer and the areas that is stripped, giving a mat surface that looks more uniform than not to coat it.

I'm a watchmaker wannabe. I've seen many watchmaking/restoration videos. For reasons I can't explain, I've more lust for having this Omega than any other I've seen. Beautiful! Thank you.

That is such a nice movement. Wonderful restoration and the case prep with the new flat-lapping machine was very satisfying to watch. From trash to treasure.

Wow so many tiny pieces that make up a mechanical watch that we all just put on our wrists and take for granted. I am totally amazed how you dismantled the watch for restoration and put it back together as well.
