Feminism is definitely a mental sanctuary for me. Its hard to explain, but being a feminist has helped me prioritize the things that affect my sense of self.

Feminism talks about Equality but as we human are designed into women and men then how can they be equal? Its not for all type of ladies (your case is only for young ladies as they can try to beat men) , moreover case is not the same as you see only in (europe/america==>your all world) Here in asia we see men give respect to women by giving their seat , giving them priority to all age of women, weaker/stronger. There is by default system why you wanna change it as it'll negative impacts... Why not talking about "Equity" ??? instead of "Equality" ??

I really appreciate the videos of this channel, but I made the mistake to read comments below. I know that it'll always be haters and individuals who feel the need to criticise everything and everyone. Though, I read a lot of "yeah yeah yeah yeah" jokes. Guys, it is an interview not a debate, just put your hands on a dictionnary. Emma is not here to give her opinion about what her guest is saying, she's here to ask questions and to record the answers. It is the same statement for the peoples who are indignated because of the "apparent disdain" (there again it is the feeling of the people who were complaining) of Caitlin Moran for men and the lack of objection by Emma. She's not here to object. She's here to listen, but that is not a proof that she has the same opinion. You can hate the interview, the peoples who appear on your screen, and you can disagree with everything which is said, but when it is time to give your opinion, try to THINK about things before. You're not complaining because horses can't fly, it is obvious. Well, an interview is not about giving and comparing your opinion with the guest's ones. btw, it would be cool to have a real debate / discussion with Emma Watson and someone else. In an interview with Gloria Steinem she said that she had her own opinions about a lot of questions she asks, it would be cool to know it because... Hell, she's on the front line about feminism. She's some sort of opinion leader even if she seem's not considering herself as wise as the people that she meet (who often have a life of experimentation behind them).

the problem when talking about religion is that you can't just tell people they invented religion. at least not without being met with outrage. i'm of the opinion that religion is a human construct but when you are within a religion, that's not something you can accept without contradicting your whole belief system or at least part of it.

RTD didn't create Captain Jack Harkness for Who - Moffat wrote him while RTD was head writer - and continually advocates for showing "minorities" as assumed normal and in positions of power - such a wonderful example of creating cultural texts that positively influence viewers and rebalance the percieved reality with regard to gender norms etc - helping to innovate popular opinion- challenging dominant norms- through pop culture texts - the way so much real change is advanced, with an idea xxxx

Excellent conversation, one has to agree with just about everything Emma and Caitlin say, at least I do... I just found one thing a little troubling, Caitlin's idea that women would have come up with a better format than Twitter. I think that she might rephrase that if she could because Twitter is what it is, not the best format for intelligent discussion but it's the format which has achieved its position because of its format, not because it was invented for or by any particular gender.

That reminds me of my year 12 Art class many years ago. They cut year 12 media from the curriculum. Why did they cut media? I don't know why ... "They have cut year 12 media, I think that is terrible, I think you should complain about it." Just when you think you are going to have a career in screen and television you find that your career ends at year 11.

So no one is going to mention the fact that at 11:07, Watson slips up and describes Amanda Foreman as a " major babe"? - I don't know what it means in the UK but that description in the US sounds kind of sexual. She is gay gay gay gay, I'm telling you people . Ty said it first.
@acciolovex
@acciolovex 7 жыл бұрын
In England its pretty common for young women to call each other 'babe', especially in certain areas. It just means you like them to some degree. 'A babe' as opposed to just 'babe' is slang that we use to say we admire someone, usually another woman.
