Yes, the original idea is from Laura Kampf. This is easier by purchasing a wheel barrow with two wheels, then find an old one for the top. There are multipe ways to make this without a welder. Also why have a seal between the top and bottom when no sealant was used for any bolt holes?

*Plus bear-proof and more than a passing resemblance to der Panzerkampfwagen.* *I pounded out the top of the L in 'Limex', grabbed a sharpie and made mine the "Timex Ironman" edition.* *I slapped fifteen bike stickers on there and by 3:30pm I had two sponsors, though one of them was **_Vegemite_** and I'm not sure that's legal in this country and I might have to return their stipend.*

nice job but to heavy for a bicycle car, i cycle around 60km a day on an bicycle vacation tis construction destroys me after one day i know for sure, aluminium is the solution and those wheels are to little beter to use 16-20" spoked wheels with an front hub is way smoother riding, only suggestions :) i like your welding job.

In my experience ...I've built this type of trailer before. But I can say the steel barrow I first used, I eventually tossed it. Then I built my current-version from a plastic barrow. Yes steel offers great strength, but it IS an awful lot of weight. But after I went with the plastic barrow, I was able to go longer distances, and not be nowhere near as drained. In-addition? --the smaller wheels allow the rider an easier start, but require more energy to keep turning, thus causing more fatigue. Yet larger wheels may take a little more work to get going, but once you're up to speed, it's easier on the rider. Plus if the trailer wheels and the bicycle wheels are the same size, then you'll only require 1 size of replacement tubes.

Cool trailer. I like the use of rivet-nuts, which although not absolutely necessary, give the project a more finished appearance over nuts and bolts. My one critique is that the seam between the two trays does not ride horizontal once it's on the bike hitch...an easy fix.

I love how these videos start off with what appears to be some simple, cheap hacks...then they bust out an acetylene torch and 72 hours of work, 4 years of college, 3 years of apprenticeship & $600 dollars later...a free, rusty old wheelbarrow becomes a sorta clunky, heavy bike trailer you could just buy somewhere else for 1/1000th the effort & cost. People like making videos & selling advertising, getting likes & views, and a return on their investment of time & money, making use of their hard-fought skills, tools & expertise. They're not serial murderers (I think) so no harm is being done & it's interesting for 30 seconds. No way am I sitting through 12 & a half minutes of this once I saw the torch come out. My neighbours & landlord of my apartment building would shut that sh*t down immediately if I busted that out. No more clicky.
