Have you noticed your neighbors getting triple paned windows? I like the song - very memorable from the first time I encountered it on MTV in the early 80s. But if you didn’t actually live thru the 70’s or 80’s, this song is not going to resonate…have to forgive people for not quite feeling this one… Ps - love songs like this that transform into a completely different theme in the outro (eg Layla, My Sharona) - very gutsy…

Radio tends to favor what the chart performance was back in the day. "Hold the Line" reached #5 on Billboard. "I'll Supply the Love" peaked at 45. I definitely like "I'll Supply the Love" better. It may have gotten caught behind all the disco fever. There were so many disco songs on the chart due to Saturday Night Fever. Given the drum performance here, it is very danceable. They deserve to be in The Rock and Roll Gall of Fame. They turned down the cover of Rolling Stone because the critics were merciless. I’m sure that doesn’t help but they are one of the most talented bands ever. Musicianship. That’s what the criteria should be. The did all genres well.

Man, the Steves hair game was on point😆. Porcaro's hair would make Farah Fawcett green with envy. Luke's bouncy curly fro is mighty awe-inspiring as well. How they weren't snatched up by Head & Shoulders we'll never know. On another note, what a super fun and catchty tune this is. I'm falling down the Toto rabbit hole very fast, and I think I like it.
