45mil max for Toney. Anything more is robbery. I'm sure Levy can negotiate the price lower. But we should look at Omar Marmoush from Frankfurt. A natural striker that plays just as well out wide both sides. His price is 40mil. He has overall better attributes than Toney and is younger. If you don't know Omar Marmoush do some research, he was a shining light in a poor Frankfurt season. He definitely looks like a future star.

??? What do you mean. We paid 60m for Richarlison. Toney is a goal machine and complete striker. Pace, skill and head. Works hard. Can change a game. Before his ban he was on a level with Kane. Lives up the road. Wld hit the ground running. No brainer.

@daveeastcott9323 maybe we do 40mil plus 20mil addons if he scores 20plus goals in the prem for Spurs. Then we only have to pay the extra 20 next season. We have alot of positions to cover. That 20mil we save this season can help fund other signings now.

Good work Chris, as always, very informative. Spurs still 5/6 players away from challenging for a cup and a crack at the league. The wide players, Johnson, Timo, Kulo etc are not top 4 standard. VDV, Udogie etc are good signings but need more of that type of quality. 2nd season under Ange will be interesting as teams found it easy to attack the high line so he has to adapt. His winning mentality is refreshing though!

we spent £60m on Richarlison, 60m for Ndoblele and 50m for Brennan, and yet £60million for toney is a stretch? think we could get the deal done for £45 and a player going the other way, he’d be great

Yup. I feel the final choice will be a risk either way.. either Toney or Gimenez. However a non risk striker option (who can play both wings) is Omar Marmoush. He is class. Valued around 40mil. If I can compare him to anyone, it would be prime Gabriel Jesus MINUS THE INJURIES.

I believe if we get Eze, we won't necessarily need Gallagher, at least not at the moment, I really like our defence, the stats don't show the truth, our back defence were warriors, I 100% blame the midfield for the majority of those goals conceded,, attack after attack waltzed straight through them, they weren't porus, they were absent or down right invisible, they never took ownership of their parts in the goals, just sat back & watched the media rip into them. I believe our D of the 18yrd box to the other end of the field, you could draw a rectangle & "everyone" inside (or lack of players) that rectangle is & was or problem last season.

In that case Brentford can keep Ivan Toney. I don’t think he’s that good anyways. I’d rather we signed Santiago Gimenez. We can’t argue with Harry’s comments, he’s absolutely right. I’m totally behind Ange but we should’ve easily finished in the top 4 last season. Also there’s no way Toney will score 3,4 or 5 goals at the euros as he’ll hardly get any minutes on the pitch.

If we go for Abraham, it shows we have learnt nothing from the last few years. Eze, splash the cash. But i doubt very much that we'd match a Man U wage. We need a statement striker 100%, but i'm uneasy about Toney. Benjamin Sesko would be a good longterm option that Ange and his staff could bring up to prem level, but we need a proven goalscorer thats not Toney

Don't know where anyone is going to play on any given day. Form, injuries, suspension's , resting players because of increased scheduled and depending on who the opposition is. It's very, very rare everyone is aviable. Need them all.

Bit salty from Harry redknapp. Loose your main man top scorer and get 5th. So unfortunately miss champions league which would I imagine attract better players. But the home grown issue is a problem selling clubs will know this maybe that’s why we will have to pay top dollar?? Not really sure how many home many home grown Jose and Conte signed ?? Toney is off the pace and also in bad form with half a season of not playing. Not getting any younger as well. Ill go for either Gyokeres/Zirkzee, Eze, Ederson, Kyle WalterPeters. Keep Santiago, Jude, Phillips for europa league/league cup and let Donley, Dorrington go on loan

Hope your paying yourself for the overtime... lol - I wonder just how many targets we will end up getting. This transfer window seems alot more competitive than previous ones. Given Levy (and the clubs) track record. I expect we will be getting no top targets and will have to switch to secondary ones. Eze please, no Toney but Jonathan David instead. Jonathan David is a comparatively better option than Toney plus cheaper than Openda, Solanke, Gimenez and Gyokeres. Jonathan David in my opinion seems a more realistic striker for us to sign in this summer transfer window to even be a reliable striker to be a long term Kane successor.

Yes, but Jonathan David is comparatively better as he is more rapid on the ball while bagging 19 goals last season. Marmoush scored 12 last season. We require a striker that scores way more than 15 goals every season but who can come as a cheaper option to be a reliable Kane long term successor. Jonathan David would even assist Son and Deki to score goals as he's rapid and lethal somewhat in my opinion. He could prove to be the best Canadian player too with him being the most expensive Canadian player above Alphonso Davies probably if he progresses 100% at the Orem aat Tottenham. So Jonathan David realistic target.

@petergeorge861 True. I looked through the scouting tools and YT highlights. And I can't agree more, wow. Can't believe how much Jonathan David has popped off this season. And for 30-40mil??? Is a STEAL. All his attributes as a striker suit Ange's requirements for a striker and he's not afraid to start transitions and drift out wide to provide for others. I am now more convinced we should get him over Toney and Gimenez. It does seem he can play right winger if needed. (Probably even has a better cross than Johnson TBH lol) He will also bring alot of revenue from Canada as football in Canada and USA has risen high in popularity in recent years, alot of Americans and Canadians support us for some reason lol. But he could be our "Canadian Sonny" in terms of a whole lot of Canadians supporting their star striker if he signs for us. One thing I would say about Marmoush is that he is more of a winger/striker hybrid. He was the only shining light In a poor Frankfurt season.

Being Premier League proven is not that important. Son, Kulu, Van De Ven, Romero, Vicario, Udogie, Bentancur. None of these players had the PL experience before joining the Spurs. On the other hand, the PL proven players such as Rich and Johnson often flopped massively after joining us. 😂😂
