Nicely done. Toureg handled it really well. Toyota’s always have a great way of finding grip - the ones where the driveshafts don’t break!

I used to work as a trail guide in the Cambrian mountains and Elan valley, as well as the Brecon Beacons and I can’t get over how much the Strata Florida and Claerwen dam tracks have changed in 15yrs. The Strata Florida especially so, with many little detours deviating from the original ROW. BTW I’ve seen Landy’s do the bomb hole when it’s half full of water and running down the rock face like a waterfall. You guys were fortunate doing it in perfect conditions, but it’s all down to tyre pressures and tow bars. I guess your Landy owners bottled it in fear of their halfshafts and body damage. Great truck BTW, a real beast and it towed that other truck a piece of piss. Your boy won’t ever forget that trip, he obviously loved it and he’ll remember it for life.

Well impressed with the performance of the Tuareg, I'm looking for a long range tourer with offroad capabilities now I've sold the 110. I never even thought about a VW but I will definitely be doing more research on the 3 litre V6.

This is as a london raised lad i love wales, life here is just different, and think you were near my neck of the woods as noticed the landie was originally from Cardiff and think porthcawl was involved, i'm west side lol, If not already Check out Llyn Brianne cool place it was a little village but they needed to make a reservoir so the company purchased all the homes and flooded the valley with all the buildings left in place, on a good day you can see then thru the water, Also did notice a name so thank you sarah for the obvious hours of footage you had to mince thru, Thanks Darkside you done yourself proud 👍

I thought about getting a Touareg, but i was scared of the servicing cost. With an older one you really need a helpful independent garage.

OK a few points... 1 I'll bring some Biltong up with me (well if i don't eat it on the drive up) 2 Little man saying 'go beast mode dad' lol classic 3 Slightly less extreme lanes when I come up, as I don't have the lift, only half the underbody armour and all terrains not full muddys 4 I reckon my half a v10 will still have enough grunt though, as it feels a bit stronger than my old td5 Disco 2
