Touchdesigner, please upload another video explaining Projection mapping where we actually see the projection. This is one of the most watched video of yours. People are clearly very curious about this.

I wanted a tool to simply take a video and projection map it onto a 2D surface using an office projector. I normally use MadMapper which is perfect for this, but since I only have 2 paid licenses I needed something to use on other laptops without showing the MadMapper watermark (displayed on the trial version). I tried MapMap but it just crashed. TouchDesigner allows you to do this (without a watermark), but compared to MadMapper it is mind numbingly complex when starting from scratch! This video was useful to work out the kantanMapper node and how to get it to display a video file, but you have to learn a lot about the TouchDesiger UI to get there.

So no camera to actually see the mapped object? That's too bad

Awesome tut, but seems like it just gets cut off at the end. No second part? What is the conclusion and final actual result? I think it would be great to upload a small ending for the people that are following along enjoying this and then suddenly get to the end of the video but not the project. Please and thank you.

Really wondering the projection looks like in the CamSchnapper part, if there any video tutorial can show what will be project will be really helpful!

Amazing! One thing! could we not do the content in Touch rather than external software in order to get realtime 3d mapping. I'd love to know more about whole process, ex; track a person with a ball of light and get all shadows moving in realtime on your 3d mapping sculpture. thx

Anyone know why I can't get the texture to appear on the quad when dragged in, as explained around 33:00? It accepts the path, but it never shows the link, nor does it appear after checking the "X" mark. Maybe it has to do with the version (I am a bit late to this masterpiece of a software), or the fact that I'm using the free license, while still learning. I checked the help section and it shows a GIF doing the same thing demonstrated here. Was fiddling a bit with the drag/drop settings throughout the child/parent chain, but no use. Any help would be appreciated.

using build 2020.24520 where in CamShnappr should I be putting the render comp. the render top input is missing from CamShnapper only have Project and GEOsop options in where Render top should be

how to select projector for output in camSchnappr? they said 'Once you selected the correct output Monitor via the Output Monitor parameter, click the Open Output parameter' basically, the question is where I can select my projector display for output?

Hi actually i got a problem with kantan mapper,in create quad mode i'm not able to see the green colored screen and i can properly draw quads,i can just click and a random weird rectangle appear in a random position,any idea about what it could be? i'm using windows 11 and TD 99 Non-Commercial

Touch Designer, please take the time to make a PowerPoint slide presentation (instead of a black screen) so we can follow along, and make a REAL presentation for us. (So we can follow along, take notes, read the text, etc.)
