I drive a BMW but it´s all good. At least I don´t wear lipstick.
@nickunderfloorboards3 жыл бұрын
@@Thebeastfromnorth75 Me neither my friend. :) I have naturally a pretty pale skin and kinda big and red lips. As far as I know, I never wore lipstick a day in my life. I did however wore makeup a few times before. That was on a set while filming, and once on Halloween. But I can't recall lipstick. I'm not even a big fan if my girlfriend wears it. It makes kissing kinda annoying 'cause worst case everthing is smudged on you, her or the sheeds afterwards. But to be honest, If you, I or some other guy would put lipstick on, for work, in his private live, for fun or whatever, I would't really care either... And I'm sorry that it appears to be that I offended you or anyone else with my comment. I thought it was clear, that it was was obviously a joke. I live in germany where there are 3 big luxury car camps and their fans give each other shit all the time. Mostly all in good nature. Mercedes, BMW and Audi. The joke in my mind is, that any of those big corporate buisnesses would support Henry, who was pretty outspoken about cars in the past (and a lot of other things) and doesn't care for any of them. It's not really brand fitting casting from their side. From Henry's side I can totally understand it. He can do "mostly" what he wants, or what he is interested in and someone else, preferably someone with money, pays for that. That is kinda Punk Rock if you ask me. I could have just as well written Audi instead of BMW. The joke would be the same. But maybe that joke is to specific to me and other germans, or maybe it's just not that funny. So I'm sorry, if I offended you or your choice to buy a certain brand in such a harsh way, that you felt the need to attack me on a personal level. With accusations that are unfortunately wrong and make you look a tad bit arrogant in my eyes to be honest. But I can see why someone whould think the same way about my, in my mind pretty harmeless, joke. So I truthfully want to apologize and clarify. We all know that all of them, Mercedes, BMW and Audi, are great at engineering and make good, mostly quality cars. I really hope your BMW will last you a long time, which usally they tend to do and you probably made a good choice in buying one. They all are great cars. But the reallity is, that they are all big corporate companys. And like mostly all car producers and all other big companys, (for example Nestle, Apple, Samsung and possibly every other big company, with minumum exeptions) they only care about you as a person, only as much as in the fact, that they want you to buy their product. At first, that is neither good or bad. It's the market. But trust me, if they could build the chepest pice of trash, horrible for the environment, a total security risk, no airbags and only one door and it would be the most cost effective and popular car at that time, they all would build one. Because they don't care about nothing, exept numbers. Not you as a person. So even if I did attack BMW or any other brand in an mean spiritied way (which I really didn't try to do), why do you feel the need to be upsed about it? All of them are companys, which spend millions on marketing and on the idea to sell people a product at first, but also a lifestyle. And that to me is why some people get so attached to their stuff and define themselfs and their personality about the things they own. They feel like someone attacked their lifestyle. I drive a Chevy. I like my car, 'couse it looks very nice to me, its useful and was the best option to buy for me personaly at that time. But I don't give a damn about that brand. It's a tool, a thing. If my next one will be a Mercedes, an BMW, or an Tesla it will be the same. I like it 'cause it works and gives me what I need, not because it's a certain brand. Every one of them tries to be as smart and cheap as they can to look as good and profitable as possible. VW and Mercedes had a big exhaust scandal just a while back and so did BMW. Because they try to do the minimum to give you the feeling that they want you to have with the maximum of profit (ergo, your money). You can say that is good, bad or neither, but that is economy. Same with the food industry. A lot of products now claim a lot of things, because people want clean and healthy food right know. But instead of making actual healthy food, most companys like Nestle for example try everything in the book to make their food apear more healthy, without changeing anything. Take a picture of a burger behind a green or red wall, write some claims, that where already true 20 years ago and tada. It's healthy now. Because they don't actually care about us. If they would, they would cut their enormous profit and make more healthy food, while still making a lot of profit. But why should they, if it works? The same is for nearly every other company. (Sorry, for such a long text by the way. It's not my first language which means I need 3 words, where others maybe need 1). My point of writhing this long story is the following. Please try and stop getting angry or offended, if someone makes fun, or attacks a brand, that you own stuff from. They (the brand) don't care about you. Why would you care about them? If you want to, care about yourself, your family, your friends and maybe some other people in and around your life. Maybe try to help with their and your well beeing on an financial and personal level. (And I don't want to to imply that you are not diong that alreday). We can care about so many living things, people, animals and an whole environment even. It seems to me like a waste of time to care for, or protect an soulless, money oriented construct like an big company that will give you nothing in return for that. It would be great if companys would care about us in the first place, so that we could care for them in return, for our own well beeing. But right now it is the other way around, witch seems a little sensless and backwards. To me at least. And I'm not a Hippie. I love owning a lot of stuff. But I want to own stuff that is good, makes sense to have, lasts long and is a good investment for me and secondary, if possible for the environment. (And I'm no saint. I know i own and use a lot of stuff, that is horrible for the environment. But I try my best.) But whatever the brand is I don't care at first. 'Cause I want quality, not a brand. And no brand builts stuff equaly good. Think of Lenovo. They have great Laptops, (some Thinkpads) and not so great ones (most of the other ones they produce). Like I bet you want quality too, I supose. Because like I said, usally BMW builds high quality cars. Exept, when they, like Mercedes, Chevy and all the others, don't have some type of scandal every 5 years or so :) The whole concept of comedy lies in the art of making fun about something. As far as I thought there was nothing personal in my comment. It only gets personal, when people try to make it personal. So maybe next time please don't get offended right away if you get the feeling that it's just a joke. But if you do have to get offended anyway, at least please don't get personal but express, what you don't like about something like my comment. Then the other guy gets a chance to explain or apologize, like I try to do both here right know. I'm pretty sure there are a bunch of people that will dissagree with some things I wrote. And that is perfectly fine. People have diffrent backgrounds and viewpoints, and some people find differend things funny. I and we all need to accept that. I thank you for your time and hopefully understanding. And I even thank you for informing me that it looks like I wear lipstick on that picture. I don't kow what to do with that information right now, but its good to know, since I never would have thought so. Maybe I will change it, based on that information, maybe not. But its good to know anyway. Me and my fat, red lips are done now. Promise :)

@@Thebeastfromnorth75 I really did not want to make you feel bad or lecture you in any way. I was just writing out what I was truthfully thinking while reading your comment. Sorry. Sometimes I write a little to much I suppose. :) But thanks for the complement and thanks for replying. You didn't need to, but you did anyway and even in a very kind way. That was a really great gesture from you. Since you are from Swenden I wanted to add the following: I hope this whole virus situation will sort itself out fast, 'cause I can't wait to travel to your country and Norway too. I envy your winters with all that snow and ice. I've been to Iceland 2 years ago in the wintertime and it was a great expierence. Not that I was trying to say that Sweden is like Iceland. Obviously its not. I just wanted to express that I prefer the colder, northern part of Europe for myself and I'm a little jealous of you right now. :) And in terms of well spoken: I listened to Mr. Rollins here a lot in my teens and even now. In his audiobooks or stand up shows he can be a fast talking, well spoken, fire spitting machine sometimes. I owe it to him, that my english has improved quite a lot ower the years. This guy has stories for 2 lifetimes. Anyway, I'm really happy that we could come to an agreement. That was cool of you. Thanks for that conversation, the compliments and the reply in general. Have a good one and maybe you see me in sweden someday. Just watch out for big red lips, pale skin and a german accent. Kidding ;) Cheers mate.

I should be writing something serious now... But, anyway... People can be extremely confident about certain views when they're younger, and so they assume that there are various ways that they won't change as they get older, and often enough they don't. But then if you do get the chance to make a few of those changes, you become a lot more willing to consider that there are more, and you might end up coming out of depression and anxiety and all the shit our bodies come with, looking a lot better than you thought you were before instead. It sounds trite when you hear it so much with little follow through -- from religion or outdated things that time has essentially hollowed out -- but the more you clip away at the small crap that disables you, the better the rest of it comes together.

You are all Crocodile Dundee, and have huge knives, and drink Fosters, and say OY, and put shrimp on the barby. This is a retarded commercial for Mercedes. So patronizing.

To be Punk Rawk in the Age of the Defunct you have to host a 40 minute Mercedes Benz commercial, tweet your support for federal authorities(Jello), and be a literal foot soldier for corporations...

If MB wanted to pay for a trip you'd take with your own money would you say no? Of course you wouldn't and neither would Rollins because he's a smart guy. Stop with with that binary bullshit, there are compromises everywhere in real life. So he drove a particular car in order to talk about real shit. Who gives a fuck and why ignore the real shit discussed?

@@petehakkinen3020 Yeah.......it's "clearly" a very accurate parody of the "ideology" of this aging rawk star whose sophomoric political stances mirror the infantile thought of 19 year old woke hipsters, middle-aged cat lady hippies, and...funnily enough....the majority of conservative politicians- in short, a radical centrist who hasn't worked a day since he left the ice cream shop in his DC teenage years and strives to uphold a party line of White Guilt solely to keep the money rollin' in as all of his career channels collapse around him. He's a tool of the corporate establishment. You need to spend some time studying the subtleties of the English language and the intricacies of political humor.

This is probably the saddest thing (commercial) I've ever seen. A punk rock icon selling Mercedes, a bad commercial. I hope they paid him enough to have completely sold his soul to the devil.

Too bad he's done nothing but talked shit about Australia and Australians. Kinda hard to take this seriously.
