I agree.You suffer if you're not with the right person. As you said, multiple break ups or to that degree consistently with discord- you all are just not for each other.If you're fighting for the relationship and fighting them also because you're perceived as the competition instead of the partner, you suffer; you exist in tension. Some conflicts shouldn't have sequels. The best apology is the changed behavior.Certain levels of disrespect shouldn't occur as if you're scrapping with somebody off of the street. You can't continue to attempt to break down a person, then be surprised or "all in" when they have had enough. You love what you have, or you'll love what you've lost. Everyone isn't ready to be upfront about their flaws, confess and be honest about their humaness. You can't make a person be ready, be honest or get it. You just have to know when you've had enough. Perfection is never the goal but pain and dysfunction shouldn't be a regular guest in the relationship either.The functional and honest communication, conflict resolution and basic level of respect are definitely key/core/foundational priorities needed for any type of relationship to be successful. You live, you learn and if you're wise you won't waste the lessons and pain of previous relationships.

Man we talked about this recently on my podcast. People are taught that the only this "one perfect way" is how a person should be in a relationship. And so because of it we don't prepare for the work of the relationship, the weaknesses of each person, and the reality of growing together. That unrealistic mentality is why we have so many issues that are aired out publicly from people's relationships.

I agree with everything you just said. However, ego is too big for most people and compromising or even showing vulnerability and accountability is scarce in the composition of some people's psyche. Those kinds of people need to be single and stop clinging to comfort and familiarity. Great topic! I have more to share but I have to finish folding my laundry. Happy Sunday!

Kedibone MOHALE ( here’s what I would do ) start with writing down EVERYTHING that you are not happy with in your marriage . Then compare that list to your vows that he promised & you & compare your personal standards for yourself as a human . If all lost don’t match up , sit him down and talk slowly and explain how u feel . Not blame , not anger just explain that you want more for yourself I’m this marriage not taking the popular angle most women do which is “ accuse, blame & explain to him angry 😡 how u feel . Couples counseling, TD Jakes, maybe a trip alone so u can clear the energy

My gf and i are having a tough time by something small. We have been together for 2,almost 3 years. It all started with me taking a walk with one of my friends cousin, people from my school saw and told her and then boom, here we are. Yesterday i had a breakdown in the middle of the corridor over how annoying she is and all that stuff with me and ignorant when she wans(long story) but i wanna figure things out. Hey I don’t know why but I came across this video today and it’s 7 years old. I have been with my girlfriend for 21 years we have two kids together as well,and we have gone through a lot of ups and downs but as of now we are really going through it and it is not only hurting us both because she cry’s and I cry as well as it hurts the kids because they want us together and it’s just hard right now we live together and I’m now sleeping in the living room because she wants her space away from me and to just leave her alone. She said to give her space and to leave her alone but mostly does not want to talk to me.

This is a very tough place to be in. I’m sending positive energy your way maybe giving space in a positive way could be a good thing not space in a sense of you’re trying to find other people, but maybe picking up an extra hobby that keeps you out of the house a little bit maybe exercising Boxing Maybe couples counseling will help as well or maybe take a trip by yourself or send her on a trip by herself for a couple days when she can decompress. Sometimes you have to miss each other by going away for a little bit and you remember what you have

Going through this now after 20yrs together.Lol my husband will say WHATEVER! and I be ready to headbutt his ass lol he says I live in a bubble where the world is perfect and I'm like we don't have to be silly,childish, or hateful because the world is plus men don't say WHATEVER when you are having a grownup conversation about your marriage. Going through it now. He is a very close minded person. That if you disagree or let him know how you feel action and what being said doesn't match. That by his action i hurting you. Been together almost a year living in his motor home. 3 times after an argument he says i need to find somewhere else to live. I'm 64 he is 60.all his relationship. End with the woman getting fead up and walking out I'm not a quieter I fight for someone I love.. I

My boyfriend broke up with me over something really small we haven’t talked in 2 days, I talked to him today in person and he said he wants the both of us to be good as individuals because I have family problems and he has money problems (his car broke down and he doesn’t want to fix it because it keeps breaking, he’s buying a new car) and then he said we could try again because he wants to see me be happier because my family issues make me very negative in certain situations. Somebody give me advice. I talked to my friends a lot but my mind still isn’t clear. He said he wants to be with me, he just wants things to be better for us.

Liv Tino 1st ....stop talking to your friends ...they don’t know more than you do lol and they just give bad advice . I understand what he is saying . You two have to be able to have a happy life by yourself before y’all can ever be together . He can never make you happy until you learn to make yourself less negative & he has to get his stuff together too. Just communicate & so the work in your self & you will be fine 👍🏿

What do u do when the man u gave 17yrs lies str8 to ur face n continues to when the evidence is right in his face? I've given him so sooooo many times to talk about it but instead all he does is deny it. Wht am I suppose to do, especially when I feel like I cant make it w/o him. And I dnt want my kids to deal with us splitting up n divorcing

Stephanie McMahan the first problems you lying to yourself . You can’t make it without him ? How ? When you were born alone & you will die alone . If he died , god forbid you jumping on the casket with him ? ...hell naw you will move on with your life . kids are not an excuse to stay married because they will get a front row seat to dysfunction. confront him about his actions & try talking , try therapy if that don’t work ....I would consider separating & building the life I want to live . 💯
