Expedition Overland

Жыл бұрын

This episode contains real footage from World War II. Viewer discretion is advised at around 34 minutes in.
Having accomplished their goal of reaching Nordkapp, the team is asking themselves the question all overlanders finally arrive at: What’s next?
Europe is steeped in history both modern and ancient, and everyone on the team will have to face humanity’s dark, war-torn past while pursuing the light of the present.
Heading east as far as they can to connect another major dot on the map, Clay and his crew make camp close to a distant border.
Then, it’s off to Finland to discover the horrors and triumphs behind the infamous Soviet-Finnish “Winter War.”
Travel with us in Episode 4 and catch the feeling of history along with the team!

Yes and since most have failed to learn from history, Europe is indeed repeating it right now, with Putin being Europe 21st century Hitler, and Russia acting like his Nazi Third Reich.

I do enjoy your films and adventures. absolutely an amazing crew and continued inspiration for our community. that being said, I do find the climbing in, on, over the tanks that clearly had loss of life during war very disgraceful to those who lost their life in that equipment. artifacts such as those demand the most amount of respect and care. all in all thanks for showing your adventures and keep up the amazing work.

I am at a loss here… why are your expeditions not being covered by Netflix or some other form of mainstream media? I think that the average off-roader might skim through thinking that this content is irrelevant. And perhaps mainstream media may think that this is a niche community. However, the insight into the culture and history of your destinations far surpasses that of National Geographic. The cinematography is excellent, as is the narration and personal content. There are so many people out there who crave this content. I am only 1 minute into this video and I am blown away.

That tank at the North Cape is a Renault from WWI, It was still used by the French in the beginning of WWII. The US used it during WWI and as someone mention they were used by the Germans as portable pillboxes on their "Atlantic Wall".
