Thank you to the lady who showed us her house. A very nice house indeed. I seen houses like this while serving with the U.S. Marines by Thailand n was wondering how life inside was. Thanks for the video.

He gave her $100 US dollars for the tour, which is about enough for 2 weeks of food at least. I would be pleasant too lol

She said hẻ family must live in floating rat house on the river because they don't have money to buy land on the ground to build a house . She help her family survive on earth by running a small business, she buys fishes and shrimps from fishcatchers around the river and sells to consumers , that is the way she earns a living to raise hẻ own three children and some grandchildren.

The song sound so familiar that I had to think about it. It’s a Chinese song by Terry Lin Dan Shen Qing Ge 單身情歌. I like the rendition. And the Vietnamese accent they speak is very unique to the Mekong Delta.

Interesting video, Troy, enlighten ing. What water they use for cooking? I don't like the toilet part, yuks! All that goes to fertilise the fish, ?!
